ali-s
I am sat browsing the forum, drinking coffee (multi tasking at its best ), and shredding old bank statements and receipts. Just found a ten pound note wrapped up in an old Aldi receipt This has made my day. Now what to spend it on

Omletina Kyckling
Oh that is wonderful - it's like bonus money when that happens isn't it? I remember when we moved into a student house way back a lifetime ago, we got £14 in coins out of the old sofa in the house and it was a fortune to us!! I seem to remember we spent it on healthy vegetables and the like..... .........or was it chocolate and alcohol? My memory isn't what it was.... chickencam
What luck have you spent it yet? When I left home and moved into my first flat after spending the day cleaning the carpets everything was a bit damp so i went to stay at hubby's parents house for the night. Several days later my now MIL asked hubby if I owned anything valuable, he said no and asked why. She had found a half sovereign coin on the bedroom floor. I had been given it as chage in a sweet shop some years before instead of a penny and I had kept it because it was old 1898 and it interested me I had no idea that it was gold. I was extremely short of money at the time, and sold it for its gold value which was £35 now this doesn't sound much but it made a huge difference at the time and I believe that it was fate that it came to light when i needed it most
