You are so lucky, my sister and I, when we were little, use to nick the eggs that mum brought from the supermarket and try to hatch them a lil naive as we thought all chickens were on open farms and that there was always a rooster with them Though I'll never know why we didn't pop round next door but one (next to my grans) and nick some eggs as they had chooks...and I think a rooster. At the moment I think there's 3, maybe 4 leghorn girls and 2 Sussex girls (basically 50/50 - it's got to be a good guess ). The wee Leghorn straggler is tiny now compared to the others - I don't think he's growing well at all - will need to keep an eye on him.
