The Dogmother
Is the rest of their chocolate OK though Buffie?
buffie
They use battery eggs throughout the range, so some boxed chocs etc. Check labels or you can ask them for a list of egg free chocolates. Milk choc, fruit and nut etc are egg free M&S and Thorntons only use free range egg BBx
Charlottechicken
Is the rest of their chocolate OK though Buffie? Don't bank on it Clare Cadbury's aren't exactly known for their ethics. For years they burned coal after Birmingham became a smokeless zone in the 70's. Windowsills round here used to be covered in tiny bits of coal and black soot. If you lived just a couple of streets from me you couldn't even put the washing out. I think they have better filter systems now as we don't get the thick chocolate smell in the air so much either. Bournville isn't the picturesque place it once was either, the grass is left to grow and seed and the hedgerows collect litter and are uncared for, it looks so shabby sometimes. The Dogmother
Thnaks Guys, not that I eat it myself, but I shall steer the family away from their filled chocolates if they MUST buy from Cadbury. I'd prefer it if they bought G&B or Divine.

Guest
hmmmmmmm, wonder if McDonalds know as they claim to use free range eggs and have even been awarded for it but they sell millions of creme egg McFlurrys! "We are committed to using high quality ingredients and maintaining industry leading animal welfare standards with all of our menu items..." http://www.makeupyourownmind.co.uk/egg-awards.html Buffie, I'll leave it to you and the BHWT if you want to take that up with them.
