Paola
Begins tomorrow. Thanks for this heads up, didn't realise it was clock changing day. Let's hope the weather changes too Tessa I have been counting down the days for weeks for this day
chickencam
Just looked at the 24 hour weather forcast on the BBC website and it shows sun for 6pm Did anyone forget? When I first left home in 1986 the clocks changed backwards about a month after I moved in and I got it wrong. I got a call from a friend in the afternoon and I was complaining about how the day had disapeared and she said but it is only 2pm I thought it was 4pm yey 2 hours gained happy girl
Basset
I love it when the clocks change in the spring. The extra hour of daylight every evening is so brill!!! I determined to make the most of it this year.

Egluntyne
Gorgeous day here too. Faffed about in the garden tidying here and there and played with the hens. So waterlogged out there though. It will take a month of dry weather before I can abandon the wellies.
Tessa the Duchess
Yep, wellies only in my garden too. Lovely day though, fettled the Eglu, and played with the chickens until DH decided to use the hired angle grinder to cut the paving slabs into shape for the runbase horrible noise, so went back inside. Chickens have been freeranging for 6 hours today and are still out there roll on summer. Tessa

craftyhunnypie
It's been great! We have been out in the garden all day from 11am until 7.30pm & the girls have too! Audrey had a dustbath in a washing up bowl & they have had raisins, sweetcorn, grapes & cherry tomatoes. Chippings have been flung everywhere, but they soon brush back. Blanche has been sunbathing with her wings fully out and her body lounging on one side as if on a chaise longe! Cut off the low branches of the trees in ' the woods', ready for our new chicken enclosure...had a brazier going for twings and dried leafy bits, the logs are going on our coal fire in a minute..It's lit ready & roaring, nice & cozy. Also planted my pansies in my tubs - after Audrey had bit the flowers off most of them. Put my onions in, more french beans, planted up seed trays of snap dragons, more margolds, impatiens, dahlias, giant pansies... Also planted pots of chillis, beetroot, lettuce (more of) Radish, lettuce, brocolli & phlox eggling have sprouted already! I must get & plant some herbs tomorrow. I have an old kettle that I want to plant chives in. So now we are having lasagne, garlic bread, with a baked potato we baked in the brazier burn up! Having the potato with the homemade butter I made this morning - it started of in a milk bottle, but was finished off in the Kenwood. Emma.x I've had a weekend of sowing seed and potting up too, ready for the allotments. Chitted seed potatoes and onions going in soon too. How on earth do you make butter? I'd love to have a go. chickencam
What a lovely day yesterday was, so unexpected, we cleaned the car out ready for out holiday next week, then went out for a drive to play with the new sat nav and ended up having a picnic watching the narrow boats at Gloucester Docks in the sunshine. When we got home we cleaned out the summer house and did some other garden tidying including changing the pond pump which breathed it's last on Saturday, then had a cup of tea in the summer house watching the chooks in the sun
