Tessa the Duchess
Begins tomorrow. Thanks for this heads up, didn't realise it was clock changing day. Let's hope the weather changes too Tessa
Olly
Can't wait - evenings in the garden with the ladies free-ranging. I don't even mind if it rains, I need to give the greenhouse a good tidy-out!
Cate in NZ
I love the light evenings...........so happy that they're going to be back again But I'm less happy about the hour's less sleep tonight (some people are never satisfied )
Egluntyne
I must admit I'll miss that extra hour in bed, but the longer evenings will be sooooo welcome.
chickenlass
Yes great news....seems to have been a really long winter this time I don't know why as the weather hasn't been too horrendous really.

BeckyBoo
I'm just glad I'm not working, last time I ended up doing a 10 hour night shift not a 9 hour one - and you don't get paid the extra hour! Mrs Bertie

Guest
You drew the short straw then Mrs Bertie! Tonight you could work 8 hours and get paid for 9!! I resent losing an hour's sleep and I get nervous of the approaching summer. I LOVE the winter with the long cold nights, cosy thick duvet and hot water bottles!! Chillicat
If we lived in America we could have had lighter evenings three weeks ago! Can you believe Bush changed the daylight hours ahead of the rest of the world? ...........Yep!...........I can!
BeckyBoo
I still don't get it though, same number of hours in the day, surely it doesn't matter what you call it, 7 or 8am the days will still get longer at either end, then in the winter get shorter again. If you want lighter mornings then just get up at a different time. It's a pain trying to get the children to bed an hour earlier as well Mrs B

If you want lighter mornings then just get up at a different time. It's a pain trying to get the children to bed an hour earlier as well Mrs B I really don't understand why we have to mess about with the clocks. Like Mrs B, I don't get it. Same number of hours; nothing changes, but we have to faff about putting the clocks forwards then backwards ... Its just daft. When I retire I'm just going to stick to one time and thats that. In fact, come to think of it, I might just do away with the time altogether when I don't have to worry about going to work - get up when I feel like it, go to bed when I'm tired. Brilliant. hillfamily
I've got a course in the morning and unfortunately it got listed at the wrong time so it will be an even earlier start all round I emailed all the attendees to remind them of the hour change - don't want them to miss half of the course
Guest
I debated not changing my clocks last night. School will start at 9:30, not 8:30; church will be at 11:30. I think i can live with that, but I'm not sure my brain would cope with the conversions all the time. Roll on October 25th!!
Egluntyne
At least Him Indoors' car clock will be right for the next 6 months.

Flo
Thanks for the reminder, although I am so tired at the moment I already feel an hour behind so I really will be playing catch up! On a positive note, I am really looking forward to being able to see the chickens in the evenings, something I have missed for months! Yay!
