Mrs Frugal
I am happy because I have a fabulous LSH who makes me so happy, 2 lovely teenage boys who appreciate the things I do rather than just think that cakes and biscuits appear from thin air . OK so they have messy bedrooms but they are good, hard working boys and that's far more important . My hens lay me 6 eggs a day most days which is fabulous and they're lovely, lovely girls. My veggies are doing well. We'll have enough tomatoes to supply Dolmio at this rate and my second early potatoes go in at the weekend so we'll have new potatoes to look forward to in a while . The house is tidy, the ironing is done, work's up to date and I'm going to spend this afternoon in the kitchen baking biscuits . I don't even mind the rain as the garden's getting watered and the hens are undercover . AND it'll soon be summer .

Snowy
What a great thread, thanks for the reminder Buffie! They say into every life a little rain must fall, and it does, frequently (monsoon here at present ) but lets focus on the sunshine instead and the rainy spells seem much easier to cope with! I have three gorgeous children and do a job I love. And despite OH being in deep do do at present, I still love him and am very fortunate to have him (just don't tell him or he'll think he's forgiven - he needs to sweat a bit longer ) Chickens in the garden and the sun really is shining and holidays are getting closer and closer! Cinnamon
This thread has made me remeber a rhyme I used to sing at school 'The sun is shining And the sky is blue, And I feel happy Happy all through' Aren't we simple souls? Most of us find the sun,our families, our gardens, hens & homes things of real joy. And our robotic vacum cleaners of course
chickencam
Happy because I have finally planted the seeds I have been meaning to do for a week and half, and my first radishes are nearly big enough to eat
missuscluck
You know its funny, if I'd got round to it yesterday, I had it in my mind to start a good news thread to lift our spirits. My friend who had leukemia as a child had found a lump, had a biopsy last week and got the all clear yesterday. And the suns out!
buffie
Reminds me of the Waltons, this thread now, loved that programme. The simple stuff of life, that's what it's about and how little we need to be happy BBx
