What about spices, biscuit names or foods e.g. Fudge, Toffee and Treacle?

Our son insisted on naming ours after his favourite TV characters, fifi and bumble so we went with that as a naming scheme but two have the nicknames dippy and dopey as they aren't blessed with brains.

Ours have been named after Beatles' wives, and our next 'intake' will be Marianne and Bianca (Mick Jagger's WAGs). Maybe you could name them after characters in your favourite TV prog? Also I noticed someone named their hens after the dancers in Strictly Come Dancing, very funny.

be careful what you name them... you suddenly will realise they take on the character...

Our GNR's are called Ginger... cos she is, and Pickle cos she was a pickle from the moment she came out of the box and scratched me straight away. Then we have maisy, Tori (after harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs) she's flighty just like the character and very noisy. Lilly... well lilly rapidly became lilly savage, cos she was, Root is just Root... 3 year old humour and finally he named our blue araucana Snow angel, two reasons ... he loved making snow angels when we had all the snow, but as she and root were rescued from over passionate cockrells she certainly is 'SNOW Angel'

... so be careful what you wish for with names :D:D:D
