Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

OH has just finished putting up the greenhouse Natalie has gone outside to play instead of being stuck in front of the TV. I have been pottering about in the garden and spending time with the chooks

Nice this morning but raining now which doesn't matter at all as we managed to do all the things we had planned this morning! We put in the last 4 rows of potatoes at the allotment this morning so with 7 rows, we might not need to buy any this year! Great!!

I was thinking about potatoes today, and would loved to have started some off this year. Just haven't got the energy. Good intentions for next year though.

Well, not a whole allotment but half one, thanks to FIL who is passing on half of one of his to me as I've been desperate for one for ages!

 

Putting off planting potatoes for a year will make them taste all the better Gina .

It was ok. Rained and was quite slow made about £70, so I was glad with the £22.50!

Nothing wrong with Skodas. the hub drives one. Its a VW passat with a different badge on it, goes like hot wax off a shovel (trying not to get moderated tonight!) and does about 60 to the gallon. Top car (also, he'll never pull driving that! )

 

I have a Mercedes Vaneo, not very pretty but i can get all of us and the dogs and luggage for a weekend (although NOT camping!!) One of the neighbours refers to it very unkindly but it is safe, not too fast and reliable (only about 30 to the gallon though!)

I swapped from A Renault Laguna to a Skoda Fabia a couple of months back.

 

The Laguna was a top of the range 3 litre with all the bells and whistles on it but because of my desire to go greener (it was doing 17-18 mpg round town), I swapped it.

 

I also tried not to spend up to our budget so I had money left over for the Eglu and chooks. That was an expensive weekend
