An exiting day

Recommended Posts

Had an exiting day today. I think I have gone a bit bonkers!!

I have been promising the kids since year dot that one day we would take them to Florida.

Just a bit of background. We NEVER go on holiday properly (we run our own business!! )

We usually go away for a few days in our tent. The longest we have ever been away is one week (in the tent!!) Our honemoon was only 4 days long

My husband is afraid of flying. We have flown to France once for 5 days. That is the only holiday abroad in all our married life.

I have been saving up for a while (my 'Florida' fund) and today I have been out and booked flights to Orlando for next Easter and a villa on the net on a reccomendation from a friend.

Hubby was so overawed he went straght down to the chippy and got curry and chips (he eats when hes nervous!! )

Im so exited!!!!!!

AND.... to top the day off, I got a phone call tonight to say that our day old chicks we ordered ages ago are arriving on Friday. I think there is about 16 ish and these are our first meat birds. :D:D

I hope you have a wonderful time. Easter is best - so warm, and when it rains it's warm rain - lovely! We were at Universal when it was wet - we were the only loonies on the wet rides so went around again and again! We dried off pretty quick too. Like you we have our own business, so nice hols are few and far between. Last time we went to Florida was at Christmas and it was soooooo cold and then soooooo hot! But we did a tour around starting at Universal (grown out of Disney) then to Cape Canaveral and down to the Keys and up the other side to Tampa and then home, stopping at different places in between. The Everglades is a must too, if you can.

Fantastic!

We are going at Christmas - very exciting too, my James has never flown before - we don't like to start him off easily! It will be his second trip to the USA though!

Sounds like a fabulous holiday, I'm quite envious.

We did Florida in 2000, the children loved it :D:D

Easter sounds like the perfect time of year to go and the time will just fly by. Good luck to hubby with the flying though, I'd suggest lots of rescue remedy
