Poorly household

Recommended Posts

When we came back from holiday a week last Friday I was feeling ropey over the weekend- went to the emergency Drs & got diagnosed with vertigo, but advised to go & see my own GP after the bank holiday for some blood tests to check my iron & thyroid levels. I've been taking stemitil all week for the dizzyness. Hubby was poorly Weds, Thurs & Fri, went back to work Sat but was still not feeling great. Yesterday Alexander was ill, with a high temp & sore throat, just like hubby was. Then he was sick about 11pm. Ethan moaned in his sleep at midnight, so I went to check on him & his ear is sore, just like mine is now.

I can't sleep cause I can't really get in my bed. as hubby & Ethan have taken it over  and Ethans' bed is a child's bed. I could fit in it, but I can't be bothered trying to go back to sleep just yet. Too many things on my mind.

And we have run out of paracetomol!

I'm sure things will look better in the light of day :D ( it's nearly light now!)

Oh Jules, poor you :( . It's miserable being ill at the best of times, but when the rest of the family is ill as well you have to force yourself to keep going somehow to look after the children. And now no doubt you're going to be tired as well

I hope that you manage to get additional supplies of paracetamol very soon  .

Poor you. I sympathise massively as I had vertigo last summer and it is not funny.

I wan't able to drive and was reeling about as if under the affluence of incahol.

Rotten for you, and then to have the family poorly too....how dreadful.

Have you got someone to help out?

Get well soon.

Thanks for your concern

My parents live literally down the road.

They have already delivered paracetomol to us :D

They also have a list of errands to do for me at church today- one of which is to deliver a dozen eggs to a lady who is having a charity afternoon tea next Sunday for "Open Doors" She will bake all yummy things with them :P

Plus- pass on a new baby card, a letter to the church elders & some information slips for the Christianity Explored course starting tomorrow!

Thank you :D

We're back now, & Alexander has no infection, & he's feeling a bit better but just taking it easy. I'll keep him off school tomorrow as well, & see how he is for Wednesday.

My thyroid levels are fine, but my iron is low, combining that with my "upper respiratory infection" has laid me feeling a bit wiped, & helps to explain the dizzyness.

I have 3 months worth of iron tablets to take :wink:
