We are to batten down the hatches. :?

 I was thinking exactly that Egluntine, I hope you dont flood and you live higher ground.

I hope everything goes ok. Best to take in any items in the garden that can blow around/float, if you haven't done that already. ;)

a picture of you sitting in living room with all your chooks just sprang in my head!!!

I think it's coming up and over us first Egluntine .... and then over Coventry......

All the culverts have been sorted out around here as well as we had flash flooding last week.

I hope it's not as bad as they predict for you...... :?

We live on a hill, and so does Choccy, thank goodness.

I hope its near the top of it Egluntine :lol:

We had the floods last year - three times  We live half way up a hill, but the bottom - a bridge over the River Teme, flooded as did the road to about 5ft high

The farmer spent a large part of an afternoon pulling vans and cars out of the flooded lane - in the end he left a van in the flood just to show others they really couldn't drive through it...

Hope you and everyone else in the path of this storm stays safe :D

Helen

We had light but constant rain last night, no storms, which was disappointing.

We have to ring and nag the highways agency to jet our street drains out - they are useless at it and Banbury gets flooded enough as it is. We are on a hill, so unless the drains are jetted the water runs down the road and ends up flooding the houses in the dip at the bottom. In those storms last year, they had flooded cellars
