They're going to be here at the weekend-THEY'RE HERE &PH

Recommended Posts

Well after many months of waiting my new girls will be arriving this weekend :D :D :D :D

Sadly the original order I placed in February has fallen through but I have found another breeder and I'm off to collect 1 Light Sussex and 2 Cream Legbars on Saturday. They'll be 8 weeks old :D

It will mean that I can't have my Buff Orp this year but I can look forward to getting them next year :D :D

I've set up the eglu and fenced off a section of garden for them (and ordered them a purple fun shade :wink: ) so they've got a nice safe place to grow until they are ready to meet the rest of my girls :D :D

I'll post photos of Ada, Dixie and Margot as soon as I get home with them on Saturday :D :D

I'm so eggcited :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Slight change in choice and names............I've come home with a light sussex, a cream legbar and a cuckoo maran (should have been 2 cream legbars) but couldn't resist the opportunity to get a maran :wink:

so introducing..............Ada (light sussex) Dixie (cream legbar) and Fifi (cuckoo maran)

in order - Fifi, Dixie and Ada

Just spent the last 2 hours sitting in the garden watching them............well I had to make sure they were eating and drinking OK :wink::lol:

They are only 8 weeks old - Ada is already bigger than my bantams so she most certainly is going to be a big girl :D :D

Got a chicken keeping course tomorrow so I hope the attendees don't mind a little bit of dust and poop :roll: - got much better things to do this afternoon :wink::D

They're lovely. Do you have growers pellets to feed them though?

I got Molly at about that age and cream Legbar's are really lovely, although Molly is mischievious and likes jumping. Last week we caught her hopping into the bush by the shed and the garage windowsill-although she hasn't ventured into next door's garden again thankfully.
