Peacocks

[Snowy]

It's on this weekend, Friday to Sunday. Got a busy weekend so thought I'd take the boys on Friday - I love hot air balloons and I think the boys will love to see them!

No but I have heard that its great fun - we would go if we weren't already doing something else.

Hope you have a great time.

Never been, but I do really fancy it.

And its my birthday this weekend...........................

Looks like there is loads to see and do, not just balloons!

And there is a big craft fair as well!

[Cinnamon]

We might actually go tomorrow,as the forcast is pretty good

[redfrock]

many years ago when I lived there - it was fantastic

[Ange1]

I live there!

I went a few years back, but now I just watch the balloons as they fly over our house and shout down permission to land in our field!!!

One year we had a close call, as one nearly got caught on the chimney it was so close!!

A fab day out for the family, I remember it being expensive though!

So haven't been since as I can see all the balloons from my garden, the chickens will be a bit freaked out I can imagine!

I like the sound of the craft stall though!

[chickencam]

We were going to go to the one in Bristol last weekend, but the weather was horrible so we decided not too

[Cinnamon]

We ARE going tomorrow - can't wait!!!

I am afraid I had to use all my feminine wiles & charms to 'persuade' lovely Hubby to take us out for the day,as it is my birthday on Saturday

No,I am not beyond blackmail

[Snowy]

Nice one Cinnamon!

First race is at 6am! Don't think I will be there that early But hopefully we will see them going over on our way down

[Cinnamon]

Just back

We had a lovely day,& it was great weather - in fact my back is a little bit red

It was a bit windy for the balloons,so we only saw 2,but there was still plenty to keep us busy................& we breifly met Snowy too!

It was funny - Hubby was walking some bits back to put in the car boot & he was approached by a lady saying'thats one of my bags'!

Yes,it was Snowy, recognising one of her lovely patchwork bags, that I carry everywhere with me!

Later I met her again in the petting zoo, where her little boy very expertly scooped up a huge Brahma hen, which we were all admiring

One thing - if you do go,the ground didn't open until 12 midday, so we had an hours wait before we could get in

Doesn't say that on the site, which is misleading as the park & ride starts at 10am

Went about 15 years ago and loved it(but is was a sunny day!). Hoping to take the kids on Sunday, for the 6pm take off not the 6am one!

Should be fun.

[Snowy]

Oh Cinnamon, I can't believe you left before the grand finale!

It was so funny when I saw your OH walking past out car with your bag - so I ran and accosted him!

Then you caught us trying to smuggle out that gorgeous Brahma hen! Might've known we'd meet up by the chickens

Did you see this one though? A gorgeous black bantam cochin family - mum had 6 chicks all hidden under her wings at one point

We hung around until the end - the balloons set off at 6.45. What a sight, it was awesome!

We've had a fabulous day and as a bonus the boys are now unconscious Even 16 year old admitted he enjoyed it

[clootie]

What lovely photos Snowy - looks like a beautiful day out. As for the cochins............. gorgeous!

[Mrs Frugal]

Just found your photos, Snowy. I wish we'd gone now as it wasn't that far away from us. LSH was put off by the weather forecast . Looks like we missed a great day out.

[Cinnamon]

It was so hot Kate - Devon & I both got burnt

[Mrs Frugal]

LSH shouldn't take any notice of the weather forecasts, should he . Looks like I'd have had great fun with the camera.

[Karen & co.]

It looks like you had a great day I love hot air balloons
