surferdog
Very rarely get to see any now. I sky+ anything I want to watch and then just watch it at a time convenient to me (and fast forward through the adverts). The most annoying advert ever was that smug couple they used to have advertising Brita water filters - always made me want to throw something at the TV
Egluntyne
Can't abide the one for sofas, with silly people pretending to be rockstars. Arrrggghhh!
Omletina Kyckling
I can't believe the ones where there are women discussing the hardness or otherwise of their stools over lunch!! I have to say that is something I've never discussed with anybody, and I don't think that lunchtime would be the time to do it! What makes me laugh is that there is often an advert for constipation followed by one for diarrhoea!! I hate most adverts actually and always turn the sound off when they come on. I'm with Egluntine on the deranged people dancing around on the sofa one....,
Mumpty
Don't get me started! I hate all the furniture store adverts and MFI at the bank holidays. They always have some sale on for some reason - is there a Y in the day of the week, you know. I cannot stand the one with all the people doing air guitar and pretending to be rock stars get me a bucket!
Cinnamon
Has anyone seen the new Walkers Crisps one, where they are advertising new flavours & there is a shot of Gary Linekars head with 'Ham' etched into his hair? Thats our mate Dave, that is He is an extra & a body double. That hairdo has got him many a free pint
Guest
ads for sanitary wear and cold remedies that insinuate that having a period/a cold is a minor inconvenience and can be solved by their products! there was a cillit bang ad that showed a really dirty toilet (which seems to have been pulled now) that made me want to vomit! ads for cleaning products which show kitchens/bathrooms that wouldn't look out of place on 'how clean is your house'! the orange ads for their different tariffs; canary, dolphin etc, that whole campaign annoyed me it was just so stupid!? the dolmio ads with the muppets are beginning to get on my nerves the toilet paper ad with the baby dressed up as a businessman, that's just freaky! the one with the mum feeding the baby breakfast and saying "mummy's breakfast was too sugary for goldilocks..." she just annoys me I'm sure I'll come up with more later! Tessa the Duchess
What adverts do you all find annoying?! All of them! I have pretty much given up watching tv, but if I do I generally watch the BBC channels, can't abide ads. Tessa
Cinnamon
there was a cillit bang ad that showed a really dirty toilet (which seems to have been pulled now) that made me want to vomit! Have you noticed how all of thos stains in the Cillit bang ads are wet, rather than dried on,as they actually would be? No wonder they clean off easily! I really hate macsara ads where the model has so obviously got false or enhanced lashes
Cate in NZ
Ads over here are a whole different ball game, they're still showing the roller skating pandas one (for Kit-Kat)....how old is that , and the drum playing gorilla (but I like that one ). They're pretty much all old UK ones that have just been mildly edited to show a NZ product, rather than a British one. Otherwise they're amazingly risque, and as for some of the language . I'm no prude, but honestly some of the ads have had me going Yet, there's a parental advisory statement before every episode of "How to Look Good Naked" suggesting that parents might want to supervise their children watching it because of the nudity
Geoid
I hate that cow and gate one, the one with the laughing babies with annoying pop up things saying "do I look like my tummys unhappy" etc
Donna_0
The DFS advert... why are they all singing into brushes trying to look like "rock stars" the girl dancing in the bubble at the end looks stupid..It makes me want to grind my teeth, I would rather stick pins in my eyes than watch it In fact..just hearing it makes my toes curl lol -Barbara "Noyou are not having any eggs" 28/07/08 -Margot "I'm on strike because babs is" 04/08/
jlo
Going off topoic just for a mo. Many (many ) years ago, there was a brilliant advert and I think that it was for Carlsberg but I may be wrong. It showed an Aborigine throwing a boomerang. There was then a break and it came back showing him waiting. Another break and, by this time, you were wondering just what was going on. On about the third or fourth instalment, the boomerang would return and hit him. Maybe I was just so much younger with an infantile sense of humour but I remember laughing at that. Don't watch much tv these days but hate the, "HAVE YOU HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT ISN'T YOUR FAULT!" ones that are on the digital channels. Maybe I shouldn't be so anti them as my OH is a personal injury solicitor but they do wind me up!
Couperwife
I find some adverts annoying, and some just plain weird. Yes Poet, the baby toilet roll director is wrong on soooo many levels also, why is it only women who get bloated - why are those yoghurts only advertised to women some adverts do not make me want to but the product - but I cant think of them at the moment - obviously the advertising campaign doesnt work cathy x
Joojoo
Don't watch much tv these days but hate the, "HAVE YOU HAD AN ACCIDENT THAT ISN'T YOUR FAULT!" ones that are on the digital channels. Maybe I shouldn't be so anti them as my OH is a personal injury solicitor but they do wind me up! The one that absolutely cracks me up is the guy who fell off the ladder and broke his right arm and dislocated his left shoulder - yet he still managed to phone the National Accident Helpline . Which begs the question HOW the heck did he make the phonecall? That's a real man for you
Joojoo
Hiya Jue's feet are still as bad as ever . How were Lauras when you were on holiday? I know what you mean about sleeping - I've been dreadful for about 2 months now. Up at all hours. I don't bother even going near the bed til after 2am as there is no chance of me getting to sleep. It was gone 4am last night and the night before I should imagine you've got a lot on your mind at the mo which isn't helping with your sleep . Do you read much? I used to find that helped me to relax for sleep. I'd end up falling asleep with the light on and the book in my hand but at least I was asleep. Or perhaps put the radio on low in the background. There are some hilarious mistakes on tv in general lately. I saw one a couple of months ago on a Saturday night. It was the football results. The newsreader said "if you don't want to know the results look away now". Next thing was him saying "Manchester Utd 1 - Bolton 3" or words to that effect hilarious!! I hope you manage to drift off soon. Try thinking nice things or things that make you laugh xx
Joojoo
Thinking of names for your new hens sounds like a fab idea . Hopefully you drift off soon - try opening the window too, unless you are on a busy road. I always find that I sleep so much better if the bedroom is cold and airy. I'm off to beddie byes now too, otherwise I won't be able to get out of bed in the morning!! Oh it is morning Speak to you soon. Night Night xx
Angels4
I can't stand any of the adverts that try to sell women any haircare, makeup, or any other related "beauty supplies". It's so funny to me that advertisers think the general population is daft. Like I don't know that the reason the lady has perfectly soft and managable hair is because she DID NOT use the shampoo being advertised. She already HAS perfectly soft and managable hair, and not to mention it took up to FOUR hours and a team of six to get her hair looking that good. That's a real man for you  And have you noticed that all of this adverts have a little "it all worked out for the best" message at the end? E.g. They now provide proper bins, health and safety issues improved....so it really IS alright for you to make a claim against your employer and when you are successful your employer will be absolutely OK about it and not make you feel uncomfortable in the slightest! Hmmm I found the Huggies advert quite funny (to begin with ) but perhaps that's because my baby son tries to give me golden showers every day! Not quite so powerful as on the advert thankfully. (But no, it hasn't persuaded me to favour Huggies as a brand of nappies!) A lot of adverts are designed to be SOOOO annoying so that you remember them. Egluntyne
. That lady who tripped over at work and got her foot caught in plastic wrapping SERIOUSLY needs to sort her hair out So does the woman who slips on an obviously wet floor in a hotel lobby. The words "own, careless and fault " spring to mind. I'd be suing whoever cut that dreadful fringe if I were her.
stoice
The most odd ad I've seen lately is for an anti-chafing (sp) gel! For people who's thighs rub together! OMG, what with the 'hard stools' discussed over lunch or the L Casei Imunitas sherota bacteria stuff in your gut too it's quite gross watching any ads at the mo. (Quite like the 'grot buster' bugs though, but not the actual 'grot' in a close up view)

stoice
Has anybody seen the disturbing Orangina advert? Sort of humanised animals romping about being suggestive? SO wrong, stuff of nightmares. chocchick
Yes to most of that DFS, beauty products*, personal injury, Huggies. That Orangina one was disturbing. I hate the Virgin one at the cinema where Richard Branson is disguised as a woman. *I love the one where the lady is devastated by her spots it makes me laugh how shallow she is
susanbb
The ads for loans are a tad annoying too. Borrow money from us and we'll give you the best deal ever.......according to them anyway.
