Couperwife
I have been given a huge carrier bag full of Plums (well I was given 2, but I managed to pass one off to SIL - she thought she was only getting a few plums ) so, what the heck am I going to do with them all. there is only so much jam I can eat and SIL will also be doing jam. so, any ideas welcome cathy x
theherd123
Bake them, they are delish! Halve the plums & de-stone & place in and oven proof dish with a drop of water, add brown sugar and amaretti or brandy. Bake until soft and serve with ice cream, cream or yoghurt

Mrs Webmuppet
You could always make Nigel Slaters plum cake, that uses 16 plums.
Lesley
You can freeze plums - but you have to cook them from frozen.
Milly
Plum crumble? (which you could make and freeze if you are sick of the sight of them now). Or chutney. We have had practically no plums this year, it must have been the wrong kind of weather in spring when they would have been flowering. Snowy
I've been looking at some of Delia's chutney recipes - lots of plums in those! Send some down this way Cathy!
Blackrocksrock
I made the old doverhouse chutney 2 years ago - it was delicious - a delia one with tomatoes and plums - wish I had loads again
Egluntyne
I have just been given a great big bag of plums by my sister. I shall be jamming this week. She tells me that she has some quinces about to ripen too.
