Patridge bantam chicken poorly foot?

... since I got my chickens . Can't believe a year's gone by already .

 

As many of you will know I've had a bit of a trying year but I can honestly say that having my feathered and forum friends to turn to has been a huge comfort (and distraction ) from it all.

 

I've also been humbled and inspired by some of your posts - we've had births, deaths and marriages, injuries, illnesses and personal crises, house and job moves and even an emigration. I hope you have all got comfort from sharing on the forum too.

 

I've discovered steam cleaners, egg skelters, mooncups (look away boys ), bokashi bins, electricity monitors, recipes galore and advice on too many things to mention .

You learn something new everyday on this forum. I've just googled Mooncups. Well I never. I'm at that time of life when thankfully I don't need to bother about that sort of thing anymore. There are some good things in life about getter older.

I was just looking at Scully yesterday and thinking, "I've had you almost 18 months now". Bless her. She is looking a bit scruffy at the mo, as in the middle of a huge moult, and the torrential rain hasn't helped. I still love her loads, of course. It was a year on Monday since we got Toffee and Treacle as replacements for poor old Mulder who was killed by a fox.

 

The "babies" (my newest additions) are just about integrated into the flock now. It's gone pretty well overall with only the odd squabble.
