Advice needed regarding Dab radios

Recommended Posts

My hubby's 40th is coming up and I know that he wants a Dab digital radio. I like the look of the PURE Elan RV40 DAB Radio. It has a live rewind feature that I know he will love and it displays phone numbers, websites etc. as they are mentioned on the radio.

Does anybody have any experience of this make or model?

Does anybody have any other recommendations?

Thanks,

Jan

I have two DAB radios; both Pure - one rechargeable and another very old one. I think I got that about six years ago when they first came out. That one does have a habit of crackling if I put the volume up too much but I think that that is to do with the age rather than anything else. Can't justify the expense of a new one so will just have to boogie to quieter music in the kitchen :oops:

My Pure Evoke is over 6 years old now and still going strong.

Interestingly the digital signal in this country is not as high quality as in other countries and technically a perfect FM signal or a CD will be better sound quality. Not that I've ever noticed to be honest.

Where they do come in really handy is for the AM stations, or stations that you just would never pick up. Crackle free Radio 5 would be brilliant, but for the shambles that Newcastle are just now.

The live rewind function sounds brilliant!
