little chickadee
Yes I know that they make wooly crocs, but my husband finds them physically repulsive, so they aren't an option Anyone know of any other ridiculously comfortable options? I get really tired sore feet because of my M.E and the crocs have been a godsend this Summer even though they took a bit of getting used to asthetically! I figured that you would be the people to ask. Edited October 17, 2008 by Guest
moochoo
UGGS are fantastic. As with crocs they're extremely comfortable but so toasty and warm. I alternate between mammoth crocs and UGGS in winter. No more frozen tootsies.
BarbaraJ
I just bought some Skechers trainers found them sooo comfy from first day
Mrs Frugal
UGGS are fantastic. As with crocs they're extremely comfortable but so toasty and warm.I alternate between mammoth crocs and UGGS in winter. No more frozen tootsies. I'm an Uggs girl too and adore their warm comfiness. I need to buy some new ones this year as the ones I've been wearing are patched and looking decidedly tired now. My Crocs get worn inside in winter as they make nice comfy slippers . BarbaraJ
Are Uggs the things that look like slippers? i do wonder what they look like once you have been out in them on a wet muddy day!!
moochoo
I treated my UGGS with scotchguard and they don't get mucky at all.
The Dogmother
I wear thick woolly socks inside my crocs in the winter. Phil hates them, but do I care?
Lesley
I just have bare feet and Caymans most of the winter - I'm still in my Athens Flip-flops
The Dogmother
I have some Crocs Mammoths, LC (childrens' size 3) and wear them indoors as slippers, they are so snuggly. I recently bought these (childrens' size 3 again and reduced) For 'wet stuff' and they are great
Cinnamon
I have a couple of pairs of Mammoths & they are fab. No holes in the side so your feet stay dry too, and if you wear long bootcut or flare jeans you can't see the fluff anyhow! Also have a couple of pairs of Uggs, which are lovely
Egluntyne
I wear thick woolly socks inside my crocs in the winter./quote] Ditto. I borrowed my daughters Uggs and found them slippery and dangerous. It was a rainy day and I nearly fell over about half a dozen times....in Meadowhell and outside. Cinnamon
One of my pairs is like that Egluntine. They are supposed to be worn indoors & are sold as indoor shoes in Australia, which is why some have no grip at all. I only wear mine outside when its very dry....not even dewey! The second pair I have are fine & have nice grips on them
Ardene5
Hi Why not try CROCS GEORGIES which are available in BLACK, FUSCHIA, RED and BLUE Crocs new winter treat. These wellies are made from the same material and come in funky colours, same non slip sole and obviously no holes! Cinnamon
I got some, but they were too snug on my sausage legs & looked a bit odd really. I will stick with Mammoths & Uggs
redfrock
I have a pair of Alices which I am living in now. They are a more delicate version of the mary-janes, and don't have any holes in. I also could not bear to go back to normal shoes this winter edited to say I have just seen the new Amblers ...... mmm .... they would be so much warmer than my georgies and a girl can never have too many pairs of crocs . BTW I must confess I initially read the title of this thread as too old for crocs and I opened it thinking 'what an odd thing to say'! edited again to say apparently the Amblers are for boys Shame as I really liked them! The Dogmother
I saw those Amblers too Claire and was getting all excited about them, then found that they only do them in big boy's sizes I am bitterly disappointed.
Ardene5
Hi Well after hearing the weather forecast for this week where the wind moves to come from the North of the UK. There is a forecast for the Highlands of snow. We think it might be hiking boots and a snow shovel for the order of the day. Plus ensuring that we have enough fed and bedding for the girls! I love the Amblers too & would have certainly got a pair to try if they had been for girls They look perfect for trudging around the wet streets Christmas shopping to me! redfrock
I'm only size four and a half so even if I put on 6 pairs of thick socks I think the smallest size would still be too big
