fowlbird
just before 4 the sun came out and Oxfordshire reappeared but then the mist came down again and now it's dark sometimes the only thing keeps me sane is the view from this window of the hills... Redwing
Brief clear spell here today, I took the cover off the Eglu run, went on a mercy dash to get my new chicken (see chickens thread) after reassuring the old owner that I was a caring chicken owner then came home to my own three cheesed off damp chickens Big sigh, cover back on the Eglu and back to cold damp weather again
Ardene5
Hi Everyone Well today it became sunny but later on clouds moved in and by 3 p.m today it started to drizzle. At 4 p.m the drizzle became light rain and then heavy rain. No the nicest weather to be taking wheelchair bound children home from their school but it has to be done. After the children were safely home, return the passenger assistant to her home and finally drive home on a very windy and wet motor way, along "A" & "B" roads to home in Preesall which is just off the B5270. We are 400 yards from the sea and the delta of Morecambe Bay. How has it been in the rest of the UK? Plum
Can we change the name of this thread to 'Is Spring Coming early? I really want to see the bulbs coming through and nights getting lighter. Its not been so bad today, bit of sunshine but my hands were so cold, I couldn't even feel the chooks pecking my fingers when I was wrangling the run clips. Best regards Ian ( Ardene 5 ) Ian & Valerie William & Harry Missy & Millie dogs 9 Lovely hens Henian Castle with It is something I'd suggested a while ago as we seemed to have a lot of weather threads around at the time but as they all seemed to be running smoothly and with slightly different content they were left to run their course. I agree though that this one seems to have stood the test of time - but could now do with a different title - I'll put this suggestion to the other moderators...... Ardene5
Hi Everyone Here in Preesall near Blackpool 400 yards from the delta of Morecombe Bay the weather here is overcast with a temp of about 7 degrees and a little bit of wind. I would like to hear from others who use this topic on what they would like to call this weather site. Think the reason it has run for so long is that every one has inputted onto it every day, with weather , jokes etc and had fun. I enjoy reading about the weather in other parts of the UK. Thanks to everyone who inputs onto this topic. How has it been in the rest of the UK? Old Speckled Hen
Here in our hamlet between the rivers Kent and Sprint, at the end of Longsleddale, just north of Kendal Lat 54.33 Long -2.75 it is cloudy, mild and blustery. The temperature is a balmy 10 degrees, with a 20mph south westerly wind. The forecast is for rain. Just had a lovely walk with the dog up to Potter Tarn where it's drizzling and very windy. Having done nothing all summer the nasturtiums put on a massive spurt for the autumn and have only just died down. They survived several frosts.
