Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

Found this link on here somewhere hidden. But think it's sooooooooooooooooooo fab thought I would bring it to EVERYONES attentions.

I have ordered a few and the lovely lady has asked for a pic of my Amber so that so can personalise her for me!! How brill is that!

They are going to be stocking fillers for the kids who have each adopted a hen, so now they can have an indoor one the same :D

I have just tried to order some but it says they don't deliver in my area - Cheshire - has anyone else had experience of this or is ti a problem with the website??

It must be a problem with the website Ali - I have a Folksy shop, it is still in the Beta stages so some glitches do still pop up. I'd contact the seller direct.

Have contacted her directly and she was delighted to have such a big order (ie6 hens)....have warned her she may be getting rather more - should we put this site onto the Chrstmas thread? DOn't know how to do it but all in favour of little craft businesses being given a boost.. :)

Is anyone clever enough to come up with a pattern for these :?:

Im sure they would be easy enough to make but making up a pattern is way out of my league.

I have a pattern winging it's way to me very soon.....I have just bought a book called the knitted farmyard which has some lovely patterns for chickens and cockerels in it. I should think they are easy to knit it is just a case of using different wools to make them look like our hens, I shall post again when the book arrives and I have managed to make one or two....... :D

Hi ladies,

I'm new to Omlet, but having been egg'd on (excuse the pun) by Hazel, Kay, Clare, Alison and Nick (my first customers - thank you from the bottom of my heart!) I thought I'd best join in the fun here!

I thought I'd pop in and say hi - my name is Angelina (Gini for short) and I make the lavender hens that are selling on Folksy. I'll apologise here for any problems you've had ordering through Folksy, its a bit rubbish, but its only a hobby so I can't complain about the service!

Anyway, I'm the proud owner of a (new) purple eglu and four beautiful hens, Daisy, Dotty, Petal and Poppy. I'm looking forward to meeting new people here and swapping stories about our girls.

Thanks again to all who have already welcomed me,

Speak soon,

Gini x

Welcome Gini - great names for your hens ( the live ones). Am looking forward to my non-live ones arriving this week. This site is addicitive - my husband calls it my "facebook for adults"...not sure that's a compliment but hey.... :D
