Birthday cake no more!

Recommended Posts

I'm glad I have only ever had cats!

Although we did have to get a fridge lock once because our cat at the time would open the fridge to see what he could find that looked interesting.

I've got a 14yr old son like that !!

And don't some men have an irritating habit of standing there with the fridge door open (letting all the cold air out and the warm air in) and stare vacantly at the contents for and age, as if for inspiration?

Update on idiot dog Bruno - spent very sleepless night with him in spare room. He normally sleeps with my son, but thought the dog was in danger of being sick, so tried him in the kitchen on his own. That didn't work - started to bark in the middle of the night and I was concerned the neighbours might hear, so I moved into my daughter's room with him (she's moved into a flat recently) as it has a wooden floor and in theory would be easier to clean. Dog was up and down and up and down all night, pacing about, needing out etc. Hardly slept. Shut dog in kitchen today while I was at school. Came home, let him out - hugely upset stomach - he has very long hair round his nether regions which in turn turned chocolatey colour (sorry for the graphic details). Then had to take him for a dip in the river to get him cleaned.

Went to Tesco's tonight to replace birthday cake for tomorrow! I will be storing it very high up well away from any curious noses!

When I was a kid, my lab ate all the play paints (in their bottles, you know the big squeezy ones?) I had set out on the table for Christmas card making whilst our backs were turned. When we came back in the room she was sitting there, , but the rainbow mouth and nose were a bit of a giveaway!

we had a yellow rescue lab when I was little and he used to open the fridge and eat a tab of margarine and knock the sugar over and eat that aswell... our theory was he was trying to bake cakes and just couldn't reach the flour and eggs

Jessie my spaniel like to devour the contents of a bin given half the chance. I fear a choccy lake left on the side might go too but I dont think she could untie a bag to get to it.. but there's always a first so I wont count on it
