Still don't know who he is though. Looked like another Hugh FW
Egluntyne
Son of an MP, brought up on a farm. A bit like a younger, unattractive version of Monty Don. Described as the Russell Brand of cooking. More like the Jo Brand. Interesting programme. He has a book out. Pop into Waterstones and have a peep at the recipe.
Guest
oh well, thanks anyway. I'd thought about copying the recipe from the book, looks like a trip to Borders is in order then. Hope I don't get tempted to spend but I probably will They have a starbucks in there too AND I've just given up smoking again, I'm not sure I have that much willpower to go round!!!! Guest
..... Poet - giving up smoking is more than enough! - give in to the other spending....and it will help keep your mind of smoking .... followed your advice Lesley Went to Borders and Warner's book didn't have the recipe in, most gutted! However!!!! Ian found a book called 'The Basic Basics; Jams, preserves and chutneys handbook' by Marguerite Patten and it's got tons of great recipes, including exactly what I want! Also bought 2 DVDs 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly' (have read the book and it was superb), and 'Chorus' another French film recommended to us by a friend. I also bought Nikki Sixx's autobiog and Slash's autobiog. Great therapy Lesley, cheers!!!!!

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
I think he's a fab, enthusiastic rosy-faced man version of Nigella - the way he eats is the same - with that gorging quality, like he's going to drool crumbs and spittle all down himself and not really care. And he's so infectiously into autumn food. I love him. Did you see him go crayfishing, then stuff them with hazelnuts? I want to do that now! I think he's also the spit of the equally unknown but pretty good Radio 4 comic Lawrence Howarth: http://www.laurenceandgus.com/?laurence.html Especially in this unflattering pic: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2008/aug/17/chefs.foodanddrink Good article though.
