ajm200
Hi everyone. I know its been a while since I've been around. I'm sorry for deserting you all but have no chance of catching up on everything now. It's been a bit of a rough summer for me, heavily pregnant and very poorly after acid reflux burnt my lungs and a toddler to look after so I've not felt much like spending time on the PC The chickens are doing brilliantly, getting 5/5 eggs most days. They all took a week off after the Sandhurst military academy had three days of fireworks last month and Fifi laid such an enormous 1st egg afterwards that she gave herself a prolapse, poor little thing. Followed the brilliant advice on here and she's just fine now.. would have been lost without this forum. Poppy the baby is now head chicken, bossy, slightly mad and very friendly. She answers to her name and loves a cuddle. The only drawback is she's turned carnivorous and is a great mouser.. she also ate freddie frog who spent the summer in our greenhouse and it took my 2 yr old days to get over it.. he loved that frog.. Had an eventful couple of weeks on the baby front with 36 hours of false labour a couple of weekends ago with contractions that went to 5 mins apart and 2 mins long before stopping. Turns out it was actually baby flipping to breech.. had her manually turned back on Tuesday (one of the most painful experiences of my life) and now I'm hoping that she's thinking about making an appearance.. (she's due in 12 days) Been up since 4 feelling crampy, I have the most amazing energy rush that I can't do anything with as the rest of the house are sleeping, have an insatiable sugar craving and don't know what to do with myself so though I should say hello. I promise to log on more frequently in future...

Karen & co.
Hello again I wonder why it is that the last few weeks of pregnancy always seem to take so long? An energy rush could be a sign that things are about to get going Karen x
