I had five years of living in hotels on business and its nice when someone says hello

Edited to say......when I was on business/ courses etc. in hotels, it was great talking to other people you might otherwise never have met. have made friends who I still see 20 years on

This is a "Quality Hotel" - I am lucky to have an ensuite toilet (the last QH I stayed in was in a red light disctrict and there had been a murder earlier that year - so this hotel is REALLY boring )

Well I survived the night - having just got to sleep about 10.45 only to woken by revellers from the bar

And then by the trains

and the traffic

But I made it - only another 11 hours till I get home

St Albans used to be my old stamping ground, and the rumour that there's a pub there for every day of the year probably isn't far wrong... happy days

 

I could always send you over to my folks Mel, and my Mum could kill you with her cooking

My choice these days would be the Horn for a band seeing as they townified the firkin and made it a fake irish place.
