8) They do mail order 8)

That's great but it's the perfumes they use in their products that start them off. Not great in a shampoo though eh?

I'm the same, can't imagine such a heady perfume is natural so I looked up their site.

The fact that they use only ingredients that are not tested on animals is to be applauded. They do use "safe synthetics" whatever that means.

I wish I could use their bath stuff it looks good enough to eat :):)

I really want to like Lush but as soon as I get within 10 feet of the shop, I can feel a splitting headache coming on. :(

Me too, I have to give Lush shops a very wide berth, the smell actually makes me feel sick

:vom: A well meaning friend gave me a Lush hamper one Christmas I had to put it in the garden shed, couldn't stand the smell in the house  Shame really their stuff 'looks' really nice.

Have just booked DD's 9th birthday party at the Lush shop in Chichester. Sounds very reasonable & the staff all sound really keen. She is very excited!!

Hope I can stand the hour & half for the party and the resultant aroma in the house from her "party bag"!!

I don't know if it's a company-wide plan, or just Chichester.

The staff have a group of up to 20 children or partygoers, who are shown around the shop & told how the products are made, given a demo of some of the products. The children are given a small partybag at the end (I think I'm right in saying! ) and the birthday girl is given a huge gift box. They are also providing a cake & some nibbles, although I'll check all these finer details when I go in later to pay the deposit.

They do it after the shop has closed & are happy for a private shopping session to occur during the party too! I suspect that a number of the mums will miraculously want to stop for the party - most unusual as most dump & run, and have done since the children were tiny :wall: - so I'll have to sort some grown-up nibbles, but that will be no problem. The lady I spoke to said they could arrange that too! One advantage of the party not starting until 7pm on her day is that I won't have to entertain the whole class to tea beforehand, unless I want to of course :?

And the best bit - for all the above they are charging £110! Bargain! Will report back after the party next weekend.....
