Cooks
yes I noticed that a while back myself, odd, but I have compared my charms to shop ones and they are identical with same stamps so i am happy.
Minnie the Moocher
I bought some charms from a Dutch seller and was very pleased with the price and the quality. Then I had an email from ebay to say that the seller had flouted regulations and they had removed her listings. They strongly advised me not to complete any tranactions that I may have started, and I have seen no sign of her since.
Cooks
oh that's interesting, I wonder what ebay meant by that.
Minnie the Moocher
Yes, I did wonder. The charms look very authentic to me, and I have compared them to Pandora charms in a jeweller when I bought some other charms.
Groovychook
My trollbead delivery arrived today from the Australian seller, 3 glass beads & a lock... yippee! I can finally wear my bracelet! It looks beautiful but I had a bit of a shock to see that I had to pay £15.36 duty on top of the £8.00 postage ! It still worked out cheaper but not quite such a bargain as I'd thought ... I love it though... will post a photo soon!
BarbaraJ
Oh thats odd the postage has gone up i have ordered 4 times and only paid $3 also never paid duty this was http://www.beadsandgifts.com.au/Troll_Beads.php?
jomaxsmith
I had a bit of a shock to see that I had to pay £15.36 duty on top of the £8.00 postage That's a shame. I had a similar experience buying some cosmetics from Hong Kong - the money I'd saved was almost wiped out by the duty and massive PO 'handling charge' that they made me pay when I collected it. still, at least you saved something and can now wear your bracelet! fluffyknickers
You can ask them to put "GIFT ITEM" on the package and that may help. Michelle

Yes, that's the site... It was a bit of a shame but I'm still thrilled with them ... I could try the 'gift item' option next time, that's unless I find a cheaper supplier... Seagazer
Oh thats lovely. I still don't have one. I was in Swag in Bluewater looking longingly at them last week. One day. all apart from bracelet and lock were presents good haing adult kids that ask what you would like I wouldn't mind but I dropped lots of hints to the kids and I even made my ideal bracelet up on the website. I was hoping they would have dropped hints to my OH. I showed my mum the other day but she thought that the price was for just the chain and not the whole thing with beads and charms on. I'm hoping that she might spread the word too! I have to say that I did get my WIR instead of any other Christmas/birthday presents this year. craftyhunnypie
There are lots of 'cheaper' alternatives about. I have various bracelets & charms. My best one being from Warren James the jewellers. But some of the cheaper silver plate versions are lovely. I'm lucky to know a lady in my caravan club who sells the beads & silver plate bracelets. I shall be buying some this weekend no doubt! Seagazer
We were at Bluewater last night and had a look in the Pandora shop and in Swag. Bless him my YS said he'd buy me one for Christmas, then he turned to his Dad and said and you can buy mum some as well!

missuscluck
I HAVE to have one of these. I had asked for a Pandora bracelet for Christmas already However now I have read through this thread Im liking the Troll beads better. The only draw back is that we have a Pandora supplier up the road but not a Troll bead one. Can you buy on the internet?

The only draw back is that we have a Pandora supplier up the road but not a Troll bead one. Can you buy on the internet? I have a Troll bead one Lynda there are a few shops in Chester that sell them and one does on line too Harriet and Dee, there's a shop in Nantwich that does silver charms that fit Troll and are just as lovely for about half the price, I just had to get one to check Karen x
missuscluck
Thanks folks. It would be easyer for hubby if we could order on the net. Less effort required on his part Karen, which is the shop in Nantwich? And which one of the Chester shops sells online?
Karen & co.
Hello! It's Harriet and Dee in Chester they seem to have a reasonable on-line store, the one in Nantwich is on the corner of Mill Street on the way to the Ginger and Pickles coffee shop, just along from The Nantwich Book Shop before Smiths on the corner they sell allsorts of lovely gift items, I try not to go in too often as it's hard to walk out empty handed Karen x
