Hello Egluntine..do you have a recipe for the dough please? I have a breadmaker but have never really liked the bread it makes...goes hard overnight and doesnt taste too fantastic :( unless you put loooaaaads of butter on it!) but if it was just the dough then put onto one of those trays.... :D yummmmm!

Here it is: :D

French Bread

1/2 tsp yeast

9oz white strong flour

1tsp sugar

1/2 tsp salt

160 ml water

Divide dough into two and roll into sticks 10" x 3"

Make 3-4 diagonal slits on each one.

Leave to prove for 25 mins in a warm place.

Bake at gas mark 7/220 C/425F for 12 mins or until golden brown.

For a very crisp crust, spray a couple of times during cooking with water from a plant mister.

It always gets scoffed on the same day at Egluntine Towers, so I can't vouch for its keeping qualities.

I have revived shop bought French bread by misting it as described above and heating in the oven for a few mins, so you could do the same. :D
