Sick household

Recommended Posts

Well; after faltering last week, with ES taking a day off, then fading at the weekend, and ED taking a different day, and me taking 2, we're all ill now(the family who shares...)

Coughing, streaming, headaches, generally horrid, and rather soggy :(

ED has supposedly a sleepover here on Fri night for her birthday.... oh dear...

but we're doing everything that needs doing; just

spare a thought for anyone you know who has this horrible bug; its miserable

but... we'll be better by Xmas!!

Get well soon.

My DS had this last week and is still very blocked up and has a brilliant Mutley laugh at the moment until it makes him cough :?

He hasn't really shared to much just a few snuffles in the rest of us although YD went to school feeling a bit under the weather this morning, she wanted to sing in the school carol concert this afternoon and no phone call so far so hopefully she is ok.

Get well soon everyone, I've had a cold for 3 1/2 weeks, that's nearly a whole month, yes really, it's been awful. Now smallest boy has a terrible cough, dry, hard and he can hardly speak as it makes him cough persistently, ended up steaming him at midnight and sitting up with him til 0330 this morning. Then eldest daughter got up feeling unwell (she has a tendency to "feel ill" when she doesn't want to go to school) and I thought it was that but she's just thrown up everywhere, and she should have been in her Christmas play tomorrow - luckily not a major part and she's more pleased at the prospect of no school than disappointed about the play

Hopefully this cold weather this year will help to get rid of all the mucky bugs around.

Get well soon everyone

Get well soon everyone. I've got DS off school today, he woke up feeling rough and has a nasty cough, is cold and has been coughing. DH has had a bad throat for a couple of weeks now and keeps losing his voice. I don't feel 100% but am not sure if its the bug or after effects of a long and busy weekend!

Two of DD's class of of with nasty viruses; 1 v high temp & vomiting, other not vomiting yet, but v high temp & sleeping lots - most unlike her!

DD started coughing in her sleep last night & her usual winter snotty nose seems to be stepping up a gear; Mum phoned up, sounded really rough, she won't be babysitting tonight as she's going to curl up with a hot toddy & stay in the warm (bet my nephew gave it to her  )...am I the only healthy one round here?

Best I stay off the forum for a day or so til all the germs have gone away....:wink: !!!!

Get well soon everyone, big hugs all round 4.gif

or would this be better 3.gif

Well mine are much better - ED is still a bit warm but the nurofen is doing the trick so she is now "BORED"!! Smallest boy has progressed his cough from dry and persistent to chesty and not nearly so frequent AND he slept all night without coughing every five minutes (thank you snuffle Babe!!) and so I ALSO had a good nights sleep.

Unfortunately OH seems to have picked it up so no doubt he will be worse than everyone else!

Hope everyone else is OK, at least we might get it over with before the festivities really kick into gear, shame about missing school concerts, that's gutting, my eldest is missing hers too. Oh well, at least they're on the mend
