Valkyrie
In a "fowl" mood - fell downstairs this morning. OH eventually came to see if I was alright. Luckily I have lots of blubber to cushion the fall, although I think there may be a few bruises. Now the washing machine has died. Bother, blast, bottoms! Cooks
ouch ouch and another ouch! I have done that myself so I know how it feels. Shame on hubby you should have come running The bruising will be out tomorrow for sure so be prepared to feel a bit achey in places
Mrs Frugal
Ouch, Koojie, poor you. Hope you're not too bruised. My LSH is the same when I hurt myself and takes ages to come and see if I'm OK. Ollie's usually the one to come running to see if Mum's OK. Take it easy and have some medicinal chocolate. It's very good for shock and bruising, you know. Joojoo
Ouch that sounds painful. Poor you Hope it's not bruised too badly for you. I've done it myself on more than one occasion (cos I'm particularly clumsy) - it's so easy done.
Valkyrie
Thankies peeps! OH is in a right old mood today - do this, do that - you know your in for a rough time when things start going pear shaped at the start of the day! At the moment I am rebelling against the Kommadants orders. Heh heh heh. I will save the sulking till later - when something else has gone wrong and then I won't have wasted time and won't be sulked out. Emptied washing machine - OH baled out the drum (after most of it went all over the floor), then he squashed his hand between the machine and the worktop. A few choice words from him - no wonder he is in a bad mood. All seemed fine, started to work and then 29 minutes from the finish off go the warning bells and it is stuck again with the added bonus of a horrible smell. Ho hum, I remember this replaced one that went kaput one Christmas before. Deja vue! Muuuuuuuum, can I use yours??????

Valkyrie
It's da way I tell dem! Ahhhh, Frank Carson. I was being very careful coming down this morning because I have put garlands on the bannisters - who took that step away?? Thankfully we have a half landing so I didn't have far to bounce. I think I will try for a new job as a stuntwoman.

Valkyrie
Thank you everyone - I am all cheered up now. Plus I have a nice coffee that has hazlenut and cinnamon flavouring - follows Yorky Pud's cake just right. PS our post has just arrived with some Johnsons Anti mite spray. I ordered 300ml from Chemist Direct and because they didn't have any they sent 4 cans (150ml each) instead as an apology. Things are looking up. Omletina Kyckling
Oh no, you poor thing...I hate it when I fall over or slip or anything, because it hurts, but you also feel really stupid too!! I foolishly polished my floorboards on my long corridor upstairs the other week with Mr Sheen - you don't really tread on them that much as there's a runner down the middle, but I didn't think that they'd be slippery and slipped in my socks going into the bedroom and collided with everything...hubby was very sympathetic NOT and said, helpfully "You should be more careful" grrrrrr I scan read the posts here and saw this bit in your last posting and immediately worried you were thinking of spraying some anti mite spray on your bruised bits!! PS our post has just arrived with some Johnsons Anti mite spray. Now I understand....

Ooooh, nope I don't think I will need to - I fell into the girls dust bath the other week so completely mite and louse free in the btm area! Although it might be a nice cool spray - cough, cough! I know what you mean by the slippery stairs - I did the same thing when I was living with my parents. I had the room in the loft with varnished wooden steps. Normally I go round barefoot, but as it was winter I had socks on. Bounced all the way to the bottom with mum trying to grab my legs as I went. I was skinny then and boy did it hurt - I was absolutely covered with black and blue blotches, even under my right arm where I tried to hold on to the rail and caught the halfway post. I did take some Ibuprofen immediately in case it affected my naughty disc though.
Egluntyne
Poor you. I don't know which to commiserate about more....a tumble or a dead washing machine. Break a match stick quick just in case things do come in threes. Hope you feel better and not too stiff tomorrow.
Egluntyne
the first thing he did was pick up the shopping!!! Oh dear. How is your poor mum now?
Valkyrie
Oh Scrambled - you naughty girl! Poor mumsie! I would have done the same if it was my mum too (as long as nothing was broken that is)
craftyhunnypie
I can sympathise! I fell down the stairs a few years back & if it wasn't for the standard lamp saving me - then I think I would have been dead - as my head would have hit the hard tiled floor or the front door. I was black & blue the next day, with bruises black as can be & purple on my bottom - they were the size of side plates!!! Even now I can sometimes feel twinges in my bottom cheeks. I should have gone the hospital really. So, I really woulld see how you feel tomorrow. Emma.x
