The Good Life continued....

Thanks for all the offers but we've asked Matthew and his friend to move them as soon as the fence is finished. It was supposed to be today but now won't be done until Wednesday. They're both used to animals and there won't be a Benny Hill moment to be seen - fingers crossed :?

I haven't got any photos as i don't get to see them either :( Carl says they've put on weight and are becoming more friendly. Photos as soon as thy're in the field and I can get to them myself - Carl is still vaulting over the wall to the barn to go and feed them twice a day - he's found muscles he never knew he had

We had some odd men round this morning offering generators from and unmarked white van - I won't say what nationality  I told them we had not long moved in and hadn't got anything which would need a generator. That is the truth. I know full well that they were just sussing what we'd got - luckily, we haven't got anything worth pinching but There is a tractor on our land which is borrowed and being used for the fencing work. I hope they didn't spot that. We passed on the info. to the neighbouring farmers.

Did you tell the police Lesley? If you can call them with a description of the van, registration and occupants, they can get over there quickly. I did that when we had some yobbos selling leather suites from the back of a van - it was quite rewarding to see the police catch up with them at the end of the road. :D

Yes, definitely speak to the police. A friend of mine is an inspector and always advises reporting anything which may seem like an isolated incident to you, but which could really help the police to piece together the criminals' movements and intentions.

I think Carl was going to speak to the Crime Prevention officer who came to see us a while ago.

A pity it wasn't last week when we had the G6 summit just up the road - a real pain for those of us living here but there were 350 police officers drafted in (to help Stratfords usual 2  )

I took little kitten Amber to the vet this morning - a slightly bigger op than just the spaying but she will be better for it :(

Well........ we did think she was female and she was extremely round. The vet said 3 weeks ago that she was too small to be spayed. The vet looked this morning and agreed that she was quite round so we thought she was pregnant and it wouldn't be in her best interests to continue the pregnancy. Very sad but the best thing to do :(

What a surprise!!!! - she is a he!!! The round tummy was just food  He is so small that any food shows so much  Amber is now Ash - son of Willow 8)

He has had his little op but also has a small scar on his side where they started the original op before realising it was the wrong one

I'm so pleased that I don't have little kitties on my mind.

Ash is now in the small shed for the night. I hope he doesn't do a disappearing act like Mog did, when we let him out tomorrow morning. He has the cat carrier with a blanket and a litter tray and food and water - I bet he hates it in his little cat hotel

Yes, a big relief!

I blame that Clare really - she had me looking at cats' bottoms all weekend and I still got it wrong :lol:

That's right, blame me!

If they are very small, it's hard to tell. I've made that mistake before

Still it's good news that Arthur wasn't a Martha and preggers to boot. can't wait to see them - is that the tiny one we saw last time we were there?

( Biscuit has just eaten one of the marshmallows I was toasting)
