The Good Life continued....

I think we should perhaps go for the guinea pig village idea - and the fridge full of chocolate, a big fridge! - but I doubt I'd get the chocolate fountain to myself - not with both sisters there! :roll:

I still haven't seen the calves - the gate closes in a strange way and Carl has chained it and parked his car in front of the doors (paranoid??? not us!!!) Carl vaults over the side wall. They have been quite calm today and he has taken feed and checked their water and turned his back on them. They just need to settle and they will hopefully become friendly.

We will eventually need to move them about 500 yards to their permanent paddock - I think I'll call the vet for sedation first - for Carl and me :lol:

It's OK Clare - they're not moving for a while yet. Matthew has to finish harvesting yet and he did say they would be able to go in the pig paddock when the pigs went - so it doesn't sound as if he will be fixing the next paddock for a while yet!

Andrew - the chickens have to pull their weight as well :shock: - all thos eggs :wink:

but Emma, Lesley is only keeping animals to get something from them - they all have to pull their weight somehow (apart from the chickens that is)

:lol::lol::lol:

Guniea pigs will pull their weight - they have a 'cute factor' and will be calming to watch on stressful days - that can be their contribution :wink::wink::D:D

We went to the Omlet 'Do' last night - we go out about twice a year :? - while we were out, we were gaining 3 new babies :shock: We missed the births :(

The eggs that were under the broody bantam but were of a later date than the eggs she hatched, we put in an incubator - we didn't expect them to hatch. Three of the four did :shock:

Lauren and Jake came along on Saturday to hear the chicks inside the eggs, cheeping. This morning they got to hold the chicks! Just in time before they (L&J) went on holiday.
