A great day, even my 8 yr old sat watching and cheering, they've been doing a lot of work about him and what his election means in school. Is he a dish? Well he's not my usual type, but there is a certain something about him... ( did anyone see those beach photos of him in the newspapers recently?)

I have to say, Obama being president makes me think that the USA wouldn't be such a bad place to live anymore. The fact that he wants to talk to "dodgy" countries instead of bombing them is music to my ears. I refuse to be cynical about him, you have to have hope and he seems like a good guy to be hopeful about. I thought the whole inaugeration day was inspiring, i wish we had something like that in this country.

I watched the ceremony - kept telling Layla that history was being made, but don't know if it sank in as she was playing on Toontown

 

I did notice that he already looks a lot older than he did a year ago. What a burden he has to bear, though. And his family. Quite apart from the hordes of women lusting after him, he is inheriting huge problems and everyone has such high expectations.

 

And yes, I do agree, he does have a certain something....

Looks like his "era of new responsibility" has suffered a somewhat major hiccup with the news of Tom Daschle and Nancy Killefer.

I hope it's not "same old same old" SIGH

At least they have fallen on their swords early on in the administration.

 

I'd like to think they were told to go now with minimal fuss.

 

Still having great hopes that things will be different.

 

I can't get my head round the rationale of the chap who tried to sell Barack Obama's vacated Senate seat.
