Phoebe
As a new user, i am finding this such fun that I spend far too long on the forum and get nothing done. Can you all stop posting things I want to read, or suggest a way I can ration my use so OH does not keep tuttting as he walks past me and my laptop.... Lesley
erm......can't help you there.....I've been here since I got up - and I'm supposed to be working! Tell your OH that the quality of his life will improve because of all the fabulous tips you'll pick up from here - just don't tell him his wallet will suffer from having to have the latest 'Omlet Must Have'
Phoebe
its worth a try - you see I still have n't gone.....

BeckyBoo
It doesn't work. Nothing works. Once you get the hen bug, and the forum bug, all is lost..... BeckyBoo
Egluntyne
I couldn't possibly comment.
Ain't Nobody Here
No cure, sorry, he'll just have to get used to it .
Seagazer
Just tell him its a valuable source of research. Mine has given up tutting when I'm on the forum
jackiepoppies
Phoebe, I am so sorry! I can suggest absolutely nothing to help you with your addiction, even though I am a trained counsellor. In fact, there are times when I need support myself when my OH complains bitterly about the amount of time spent on this forum! It just begs the question....who is it more interesting to talk to?............... Jackiex
Phoebe
A serious point - see I'm back again after a little light activity, muh of which was chicken related - is that everyone is so welcoming here. I have been on other (non-chicken) forums where you are ok if you stay on the forum subject, but the general chat bits are really cliquey and no-one answers you if you are new ! here is much nicer now, must get on with something useful... jlo
Good luck with that!
missuscluck
Ha ha. Sorry but thats it really for you. Its better than telly and pretty much most things really. Wait till you start buying things recommended on the forum. Its called the 'omlet effect'
jackiepoppies
Oh don't be daft Phoebe What could possibly be more 'useful' than gaining all the knowledge, information. advise etc. etc etc. than you will get here All you need is a minimal knowledge of 'pooters, a valid card (for ordering on line) an OH who can chuck some food at you occasionally (that robot hasn't been invented yet ) and an enormous liking for like minded, caring, generous, intelligent people.....I could go on for ever ( and that covers every age group). I have never looked at any other forum (apart from River Cottage) and I reckon I never will Providing I don't get thrown off, I'm here for the duration Jackiex
Yorkshire Pudding
Sorry Phoebe. You are done for. There is no way off, it's just too nice here! Seriously, we all have OHs who say 'ask Omlet' whenever they need to know something!
ubereglu
I have to say I somehow have managed to get better recently. That may have been down to spending too much time on facebook, ebay and the joules website drooling over their clothes though...went to their local outlet store today and got a lovely top and dress though-both had 75% off too! bigmommasally
My OH has been loving me being on here every evening it means he gets to control the TV he has watched sport, police chase/camera programmes and all the DVD's he got for christmas without so much as a murmur from me. He evens brings me coffee in the ad breaks!! I have him well trained!!
Chickvic
There's no hope! We're all as bad as each other!
fowlbird
get some needles, yarn and a simple knitting pattern as you sit reading the posts, knit... that will fool anyone in to believing that you're busy with something useful
Redwing
My OH calls the forum 'iChicken' because he can't be bothered to actually find out what its all about as already mentioned above your OH won't make a fuss as he gets to watch what he likes - mine is obsessed with Sky+ at the moment Edited January 24, 2009 by Guest
Phoebe
ok then - I'll just gracefully accept my fate. Suits me ( I do knit - only squares for charity - but I am still so hopeless at it that I don't think I could manage both at once )
Cooks
you cannot possibly be a worse knitter than me keep at it! especially for such a good cause. yes just pull up a chair admit defeat, know when your beaten and enjoy
