i am trying to think of good names for my future chickens

 

Sadly no site to look up for chicken names I have looked

 

so far

 

DH said breakfast, lunch & Dinner

 

any way i have a few weeks to think about it

Well mags I guess your name is Margaret so why not use famous ones you could have - Attwood, Thatcher and Simpson. or Rutherford, Mead and Ryan.

 

Or use varients of Margaret - Peggy, Megan and Grita.

Try looking here there is a large section of chicken names some quite humerous.

It also gives a lot of suggestions for groups of two and three chickens.

Other ones I have come across for a group of three were Cockle, Doodle and Doo.

Sometimes, it's best to see what their personality is like before deciding, we didn't, but have since thought of re-naming a couple of ours, one to Spook, as she is spooked by the wind, leaves, a passing fly etc. and we may change another ones name to Jezabel the Hen from Hell. need I say more :lol:

I decided to work my way through the alphabet, so started with Agnes, Bertha and Carmencita (don't ask...). I actually had been planning chicken names for many months before I got the girls - it's a fun game to play when you can't sleep.

My mum got chickens a couple of months after I did, and has continued the line with Doris, Edwina and Federica. I love old-lady names for chickens, but my mind has been broadened by other omleteers' ideas (Britney, Korma, etc: brilliant!).
