BeckyBoo
Sadly not for me though, which is a real shame as they seem lovely! As you know when ex and I split I kept the hens and run and cube (even though it was his Fathers Day present two years ago ) but logistically it wasn't feasable for them to go (Yippee ) Anyway he's been muttering about getting some hens as he has a big garden where he's currently renting and obviously I also have the yellow Eglu. So, much as I'm going to miss having it (very handy if my hen goes broody and I want to hatch) it's the ex's birthday tomorrow so whilst he's at work we're going to sneak into his back garden with the yellow Eglu and three pol Isa Browns that I bought at Southmead Poultry in Leatherhead today. Very nice hens, kept in good conditions and the princely sum of £10 each which is half what they charge at Perfect Poutry. I was only going to get two but of course I have three children who want to name one each..... Honestly, after everything that's gone on, I'm too nice BeckyBoo
Ain't Nobody Here
I think you're definitely too nice . Although I suppose it was good for the kids to give their dad a present (and what a great present ). You should have a huge amount of brownie points after that gesture! BeckyBoo
Yeah, but it's kind of a random act of kindness, and since I have risen above all of it, and got rid of a load of my anger we're getting on famously. Lovely and civil (like you want to be civil with someone you were married to for nearly 9 years ) but you know, I don't need to be mean, I'm feeling so bloomin' superior most of the time, I'm doin' it by myself, I feel like I have the moral high ground, and I did buy them for him two years ago So, off to his house they go tomorrow, (but I did make sure I got what I also wanted just in case he gets fed up when he realises he has to clean them and feed them etc etc and they end up back here....... BeckyBoo
And the clever little girls have all put themselves to bed!! I went out about an hour ago as they had still been pottering around even though it was dark and it was SOOOO cold, but they are all snuggled up together! I don't want to give them away now BeckyBoo

mostin
Well done, what a lovely idea, and you are doing a fantastic thing by showing your kids that mum and dad can still do nice things for each other, even though your not together anymore.
