Snowy
Love it! But I'm too late to make any for my stall tomorrow
Minnie the Moocher
Where's your stall, Snowy, and what have you made?
Minnie the Moocher
They are cute, Chicky. I thought they must be covered eggs rather than stuffed. If I didn't have so many projects on the go at the mo I would have a go.... still, there's always next year! I've bookmarked the site. It's mainly my bags, but I've been making lots of little things to pad out the stall - and pepole tend to buy the little things then look on line for the bags I've got crocheted purses; patchwork chicken pincushions; mini gift bags; aga top pads; chicken pot holders; scented dangly chickens and hearts and things and mixer covers. Plus if it's quiet I'll probably increase my stock of little crocheted flowers I love doing fairs - I'm not even bothered if I don't sell anything, it's just lovely to be able to spend the day browsing everyone elses stalls and chatting to other crafters
Minnie the Moocher
I keep saying that I will start to do craft fairs, perhaps three per year, with the time spent in between making and stockpiling. However, I am a full-time mother and do some commission work from home and never seem to have the time! I'm thinking that it will be a more realistic option when my youngest starts school and I'll have some daylight hours. Either that or my house will be sparkly and clean! Hope it goes well tomorrow. A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Sounds fun Snowy! I know it's a little late but I hope you have a great day. Post back with your successes of the day won't you?
Plum
I've made one of the fabric eggs. It was very easy, I'm going to make my friends one each

The Dogmother
Lovely blog; I loved this bag: Snowy, when're you making some like that? One day I will have the time to sit at my sewing machine!

Aaah! So many things to make and not enough time to do them all! Looks quite straightforward that one, doesn't it? )
The Dogmother
The fabrics she uses are stunning, i wonder where she gets them from - they don't look like your regular s"Ooops, word censored!"s. You'll have to let me know when you do some to that design Snowy.
Minnie the Moocher
Think they are American fabrics, Claret. Would like to get my hands on some of those. ebay maybe? I really admire someone who can put patterns/colours together like that. I wonder if it takes her as long as it takes me?
Snowy
Yes they are american. And it's not as hard as it looks putting togther those fabrics - they are all part of a 'collection' and were all designed to co-ordinate. Lots of british companies do the same thing - my work would all be wonderfully co-ordinated if I could afford to buy 10 meters of cloth, one meter from each bolt of fabric. The Dogmother
I thought that her stock cupboard looked a bit contrived I wonder whether it's one of those subliminal advertising things - are ther any links to suppliers?
Minnie the Moocher
I know what you mean - the display of materials in colanders did look a bit contrived. And if only my buttons were in colour-themed jars!

There's another (American) blog - for recipes this time - which has a similar look and feel to it, sort of showcase.

Now this one does have her own fabric range! http://annamariahorner.blogspot.com/
Plum
Aren't they wonderful. The nearest I can get to it is some Kaffe Fassett fabrics my husband gave me. They are of course displayed in colanders without a speck of dust (put in a shoe box). This is my attempt at the eggs shortly before the girls ran down the garden with them. Claret and Snowy you are able to get similar fabrics in this country and I do order from America though a trip is more fun. Have a look at these fabrics supplied by Cottonpatch at Birmingham http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk/acatalog/Philip_Jacobs_Rowan_Fabric_Designer.html
Plum
If you would like to see some mouthwatering fabrics from America try Hancocks of Paducah or send for a catalogue and just look at them. They ship to the UK. http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/index.aspx
