New and very excited!

Recommended Posts

Hi Its been a very exciting day as I collected my three beautiful girls and took them home to their brillant new (well nearly!) green eglu. Dulcie, Lucy and Maisie seem to have given their new abode their seal of approval and are settling in well. I have been in and out all afternoon like the proverbial mother hen clucking over them. I reckon I can already see three very different personalities emerging, although the OH thinks I have gone slightly mad! I am anticipating a long anxious night ahead....

Love the forum - even more so now I am a proper member with my lovely ginger girls.

Ooh, welcome to the forum - I remember the excitement of the first day so well! You won't look back - chickens are brilliant fun. And remember, there is NO question that is too stupid to ask on this forum, we've all been beginners at some point and there is loads of helpful advice on here.

a very big welcome from one 'newbie' to another. I have had to ask some silly questions myself on here and have always had very helpful replys so dont hesitate to ask ANYTHING! Everyone is just so kind and helpful.

And as for been outside, I was sat out all day yesterday in the freezing wind with a blanket wrapped round me but i just couldnt stop watching my girls!

ENJOY! :D

Yes welcome, but you can't give us only half the story, we need pictures!! So glad you're enjoying them, what sort did you get? Hopefully not long until you get your first egg!!

Anyway, get ready to spend a LOT of time in the garden, chickens are just So fab and they're addictive too :D

Welcome to the "Club"!!!

Be prepared for them and the forum to take over your life...DH now often says "well ask Omlet" or "what's new in Omlet world today!" Obsession can be a wonderful thing... and be prepared for this expression from everyone who doesn't have chooks so just won't understand as you gabble on about them and their exploits :roll::roll::roll::roll::lol:

Has it been said before that we love pictures.........:wink:
