Have finally managed to collect my parcel from the post office today - all I can say is WOW! I will post pics later, but thank you so much to my secret sender. I have a stunning, I think it is called a memory book, or s"Ooops, word censored!" book, with a fabulous red and blue seasidey theme, plus a box of the most delicious white chocolate, blueberry, pistachio and lemon cookies :drool::drool::drool:

Hi - if there is anyone who hasn't received a gift by weekend then I am personally going to make those people something myself. As organiser of this swap, I feel it is my duty to make sure everyone receives something.

It's not at all bossy Cathy! But I can't see people without, it's not in my nature & it's upsetting.

I myself have joined in past swaps & got my gifts to my recipient each time, no matter what I've had on.

I hope the next swap is much better or I think people will hesitate about joining in. :?

I'm not having a go or pointing a finger - just a bit hurt that after organising this - some people didn't receive anything - which is beyond my control. So although I shouldn't make any more gifts - I am going to.

everyone could maybe send the pressie (small) to a central place and then the organiser could send them off :?

 

hmmm, Im making this sound like loads of hard work now, it would stop being fun :(

The postman has been- he brought me my White Stuff ebay bargain skirt ( I'm wearing it now :D ) but no present for Alihodg.

 

Maybe his present has been posted but got lost in the post?

 

He tells me that if he doesn't get a present it doesn't matter, since I made his crafty swop for him while he was away at camp, & I posted it :lol: He didn't have anything to do with it.

how do people make things smell nice like that? is it essential oils on cotton wool or something :? or is it more technical than that?

 

*got loads of felt at home - want to make something with it* :D

Cathy do a search on ebay for aroma beads. They are little plastic beads that absorb scent - you can buy them ready scented or plain to add your own favourite perfumed oil. They absorb the oil and don't leave a residue so are brilliant for filling fabric items :D

I hope that the "giftless" receive their gifts soon. It would be such a shame if the halloween swap was cancelled. I get so much pleasure from giving and receiving my gifts.

So.....I may be in the planning stages for halloween :anxious: are we sticking to the seasonal theme of halloween....and maybe autumn?
