Ok everyone - we have volunteered to run this one...hubby & myself.

Because of people going on holidays, exams, we thought we would do a poll of when everyone would like the swap to be for.

 

However, you can put your names down for this one already. I'll gather addresses, once we have finalised the date that we all agree on. Same rules as both of Cathy's swaps. Handmade or Homemade.

I voted June on basis it's before the kidlings break up from school & after they do, I haven't a hope of being organised, but August is favourite at the mo! Not that it matters really, as long as I get it made in plenty of time!!

I voted August - so that I have time to make something after the school holidays start. Of course I'm on holiday the first week in August - so I would have to get moving before I go to get it out in time. I think I leave on 26th July but that's flexible.

On the one hand August because then the swaps are each 4 months apart. On the other hand, if it's a summer theme will August be a bit latre for summer-related items? On the other hand ... hang on, I've run out of hands.

Well when is Midsummer night?

 

If we went with the weekend of say 19th July - we could then squeeze in an Autumn / Halloween one too. (she says).

I voted June, because like Wild Mum, it's easier for me to make something when the children are at school... It could be for the 21st of June and call it Midsummer's Night pixie pressy bonanza or something along those lines...?

 

Alternatively if it's August it can be the first harvest time (old festival of Lammas, seeing we're celebrating the seasons...) Or we could just do Solstices and Equinoxes (sp?)and have one in mid winter (Secret Santa), spring (Easter Bunny), midsummer (Midsummer Pixie), and autumn equinox or Halloween... what do you think?

 

We can also take it in turns to organise it so it's not always the same people doing all the work.

 

I'm looking forward to this - it's a lovely way of getting to know people a little bit better too.
