shibby69
Hi all I've had a few new additions since my last picture post, so i thought i'd take some new pictures of everyone and share them I didn't manage to get many of Maggie (newbie, cuckoo maran) and Betsy because they were having a lovely dustbath Anyway, pictures.... Dolly - White Pekin Bantam Polly - White Silkie Bantam Lacey - Wyandotte Bantam (I believe she's a buff laced). Lacey is a very special little girl and is missing an eye. It isn't known what happened to her but she's been like this since very young and has coped really well with it, and is very beautiful still ) and last of the newbies, silly Maggie, a Cuckoo Maran...on the right Couldn't leave the others out, so here's the rest of the chickeny gang Opal and Jet - the Brahmas Jet Opal Cindy - Merrydale snowbell (opal and jet in the background) Martha - we haven't a clue what she is as she was found! Betsy - Merrydale Crested (left side of what looks like a mangled mess of chook! lol) Betsy laid her first egg recently and we're proud to say she lays very yummy eggies! So, they're my current ladies, hope you enjoy the pictures Oh and please excuse the patio, we clean it every evening and hadn't as of then (they don't half make a mess!) *mummy_hen*
What beautiful girls - Lacey is such a gorgeous looking girl and i'm pleased to hear that she has had no problems with her slight disability. I could be wrong but Martha looks a little like a recovered ex-batt to me. Her colouring is very similar to some of my girls and her comb is larger than the normal comb size. I could be wrong but Martha looks a little like a recovered ex-batt to me. Her colouring is very similar to some of my girls and her comb is larger than the normal comb size. I think you're probably right - she was found some time before Christmas wandering round the outskirts of a 'farm' (not quite sure what type of farm) - she eventually found her way to me through my OH's dad, as it was his friend who'd found her and so he let him know i'd got Opal and Jet (they were all i had at the time) and she came to live with us Glad you all like the pictures
