I love my new lamp from Ikea We're decorating the living room so I splurged a bit at Ikea the other day. We're starting painting the room on Monday and the furniture comes then too but I've plugged the new lamp in already

We have the ceiling lights, same as you. Had them for about a year now ... only took me 4 and a half years to find something that I really liked, but that also was short enough for Andy not to bang his head on! They are in our lounge, which is painted a raspberry sorbet colour. Our bedroom is a deep aubergine and our kitchen is 'sun dried tomato'. You might have gathered that I love colour! (or maybe fruit and veg re-reading my descriptions ). The hall is the only neutral room in the house, as being in a bungalow all the rooms feed off it individually.

 

I love the table lamp that you have as well, and can't belief how cheap it was . I only wish we lived nearer to an ikea

this is where we are so far, only 1 and 1/2 walls done and the furniture assembled. The sofa had loads of bits missing and it has 2 left arms!!! you can't tell from the pic but it will need replacing

 

anyway, it's coming together and I LOVE it! Probably not everyone's taste but I don't care

 

Can't wait for the artwork to go back on the walls

That looks fab! I've always wanted to paint one wall a different colour from the rest but have chickened out because I've always worried about getting the meeting point tidy. Your joining walls look very tidy, was it difficult?

I love blue and sandy browns, I think it is a great colour combination, and those cushions look like woven ribbons

My favourite bit is the ceiling lamp, the superlambanana and the Beatles canvas. I keep seeing these DIY progs that tell you to be brave with colour so I thought "what the heck!"

Really looking good - my daughter has the poang chairs in beige leather/leather look and they were so comfy and rock as well if they are the same ones.
