Guest
After your spelling post earlier I cut and pasted that last post into Word to check my spelling (what with it being a grammer post) and I accidently pasted it (sticky fingers and all) into our commercial terms! I hope none of my posts found my way in there... there's no place for homosexual necrophiliac mallards in anyone's terms of settlement! As for spelling - don't worry Dan, I never correct spelling on Forums unless it's to point out the inevitable mistake in a post from someone who has pointed out someone else's spelling mistake. (That sentence above is a clausal nightmare!!) Phil

Guest
it has to be loud - and it's great for in-car singalongability - even better if you know the words!! on the subject of which.. I've now been asked by my 10yr old if she can have the whole Best of Hendrix album on her MP3 player - result! unfortunately, singing along in the car - I know hardly any of the words - but I do know all the guitar riffs!! (but they're not so easy to do if you are trying to drive safely!) Phil
Egluntyne
Am resurrecting this post!! Was in the car this am taking my youngest son to college when on the radio came "Wish I was a Punk Rocker" by Sandi Thom or somesuch. Daft lad starts yodelling at the top of his voice: "I Wish I was a prawn cracker with flowers in my hair" Hysterical.

Tina C
Have just found this - no time to read through them all but thought I would add Me - Gordon Brown, lips like the sun. Lay me down with my machine gun (Stranglers - don't know the actual lyrics as I just cannot hear anything except this) Layla - Forget about your worries and your stripes (Bare Necessities) - should be strife but we lie this version best
Guest
Have just found this - no time to read through them all but thought I would add Me - Gordon Brown, lips like the sun. Lay me down with my machine gun (Stranglers - don't know the actual lyrics as I just cannot hear anything except this) sounds like Golden Brown.. Golden brown texture like sun Lays me down with my mind she runs They DO sing "mind she runs" in a very odd way - odd emphasis - but it doesn't really sound like "Machine Gun"!! I think I always sang a kind of made-up word - "with my manshiron" - imagining it was a kind of an exotic foreign article of clothing that I should have recognised but didn't!! Drop the pilotTry my balloon Drop the monkey Smell my perfume Drop the mahout I'm the easy rider Don't use your army To fight a losing battle Is it some sort of street-speak? feemcg
Anna has a Jungle Book one too - she always sang 'Bare 'n' Sausages' when she was wee (don't know if I posted that at the beginning of this thread, can't be bothered going through all the pages). Tina C
Tee hee - I think you did Fee - I read a bit of the thread this morning and remembered it because Layla's is 'worries and stripes' (which I also posted about.....)
Janty
What about Rainbow's 'I surrender to your armpit'. Trouble is, I have spent so long singing this version that I can't remember what they really surrender to.
