Baking cookies with your cat

Recommended Posts

Mine were rescue cats (RSPCA) and some dreadful habits when we first got them. come to think of it still have. My dad house sat just after we got them as they werent allowed outside for 2 weeks while we were in Paris enjoying a city break. He made his breakfast one day and popped into kitchen to get his tea and found that the 2 cats had eaten his Special K and milk :lol: Obviously watching their waistlines. Also I left some steak out to thaw and found one bit on the floor gnawed. I washed it well and fried it to within an inch of its life and OH is still alive to tell the tale. He did say how tender it was :lol: Just read thread about wife who poisoned OH with soup. :shameonu:

My husband is always very grateful for the help the cats give him when he's editing music, or programming backing tracks. Handily, the maus seem to have a natural ability with Sibelius Software, which enables them to crash it, using only their bottoms...

my friend cat used to leave frozen chops, sausages etc outside her back door she was wondering where he got them until she overheard a conversation in the local shop.

old lady to shop assistant " I just left them on the window to thaw and next thing there where gone "

friend had to make a hasty exit - she could hardly stop laughing!

George has a thing for nail files- he loves to sniff & chew them as soon as I've filed my nails, in fact he sits there & waits for me to finish my manicure

Also in our house a meal/cake/cereal bowl is not complete without at least 3 cat hairs floating in it :vom:

Oh yes  nail files  , Oscar goes mental if you file your nails and won't leave you alone. Sometime I have to shut him out of the room  . He's also addicted to ear-wax :vom: , so if you've scratched at your ear and then forgotten about it, you suddenly find your fingers being chewed off  .

I do sometimes worry that if I was injured and incapacitated he would take the advantage and eat my fingers and my ears :lol: .

My cat Scamp collects things from round the house, especially pens, pencils, emery boards etc. When we first got her she used to raid the bathroom bin and come downstairs with all sorts of things (I won't go into detail) she seems to have stopped this now and sticks to the pens etc. When she has collected something she yowls until someone comes to see how clever she is

When I am cooking she sits on a stool and talks to me. :D

My late cat Toffee used to go mad if we started to cut up onions because as far as she was concerned onions meant beef :D

don't try gardening with them, last night I was cutting broad beans in our poly tunnel for tea, Tiggy (the real one) tripped me over and I sliced accross my finger, what I said is unrepeatable!$%@*&%$, OH managed to stick the wound down to save me a trip to A&E for stiches, Tiggy I love you but you will be the death of me one of these days

Marmite used to do that too.

She also had a thing for cotton buds, with or without the ear wax... she would scale bathroom sinks and shelving to get at them, then disembowel them on the bathroom floor.

shakes head... Strange creatures!

Cats with human names - George, Sophie and Dave  i once read somewhere cats and dogs nearly always have 2 syllable names to make calling them in easier. it always make me laugh in vets when you find that they have put your surname with your animals first name Rover Jones or something silly
