Valkyrie
My neighbour tells me it is 90 degrees outside! The clouds have gone and although the wind is still around, has eased off now. I think we are supposed to get storms later in the week - according to mothermetoffice. Well, she sees the forecast for somewhere in Britain and picks the worst bit to apply here! Chickvic
I've had it today - way to hot and humid for me. I've done nothing all day but sweat
Helly Welly
Too hot here and i am 'glowing' and have been all day. Going to the gym today was wonderful as it was like walking into a fridge. The living room is currently 29 degrees and there's nothing i can do about it. We haven't had any of the storms or rain that the rest of you have had, i'm beginning to think that Leicestershire is becoming a desert.
Gem_Seb
We havent had any of the storms either! although we probably could do with one!! boiling hot yesterday and we sat in the garden until 12 last night and it was just as warm as the day! been sat in the garden since 7.30 this morning as there was actually a nice breeze so took advantage of having all the doors and windows open for a while! Just about to go out for the day now! i attempted to vacumn and got as far as the stairs and just couldnt do anymore! At least downstairs looks ok now i suppose! The Dogmother
Yesterday was a stinker here too and going down to London wasn't the first thing I'd have done, given the choice. My house is lovely and cool though - I walk around on the wood floors to keep cool.
chickencam
It was still 29 degrees outside at 9pm yesterday We too had a lovely cool breeze at 7am but it had gone by 8am. Very bright hot and sunny here at the moment but slightly less humid, storms forecast for later maybe they seem to backing down on that one, but we could do with some rain for the garden. Valkyrie
This morning was cloudy and a little misty (although not quite - that sort of haziness without being mist) but it burnt off very quickly and is now very hot indeed. Boots was very nice to hang around in for a while, but then it hits you on the way out. A few little clouds around and a little breeze. The forecast doesn't have any thunderstorms for us at all. We could do with the rain which apparently is supposed to be tonight or tomorrow morning. We shall see if they change their minds by the evening. Helly Welly
At the moment it looks like the rain is going to miss us but at least it should be cooler tomorrow. The nights should be more comfortable to.

Valkyrie
OH just walked to and from the post box - it's only a couple of minutes away, although the return trip is uphill - and he is pooped out! Made him a nice St Clements to cool him down. I had 40 winks on the setee and my feet have gone down quite a bit. Must be all that water - keep drinking it folks. Got quite cloudy a short while back, but sun's out again. The clouds look misty-blue, but not ominous yet! Valkyrie
Woke up to hear the odd spat spat on the leaves outside at 3.14! It started getting heavier and I thought "lovely" - it lulled me back to sleep. It had stopped by the time I got up though, sort of misty and it was very dark for ages - only just getting lighter now. The clouds still look full of rain to come. Outside is nice and much cooler and breezy. Phew!

chickencam
Much cooler here too, overcast and breezy, only a few spots of rain so far and sun forecast for later but it should only get to 23 degrees today that is about 10 degrees lower than of late. The house was so hot this morning I threw open all the doors and windows and now it is a bit chilly in parts.
