We had a couple of spits at about 6.30 - not enough to wet the ground. I think it was a token gesture after the forecast was for rain. Then it turned out sunny and quite a nice end to the day - still a few big clouds around. It's hard to tell whether it has rained after dark - looks like raindrops on the roof of my car. But it is still quite warm.

Dull, wet and breezy. Still quite warm though. The sun is trying to break through so we have a bright grey area (not sure whether I can see a bit of blue - too near the brightness to focus on colour) and according to the forecast it is supposed to get worse. Bah humbug!

It managed to stay dry & sunnyish for a while yesterday but ended up finishing the mowing in the rain

Horse sitting for a fortnight which means more work outside than usual

 

Thank goodness for the new tarpaulin roof on our WIR - it's quite warm in there now too

Mine do that too; I end up shutting them in the run if it's really bad.

We did see a teeny bit of sun - lasted, oh, about 10 minutes! Even then it was struggling through the clouds. But now nice steady rain. Did I say nice?

Torrential downpour 9.30 last night.

Miserable, grey, and showery now.

Sparrows hatched three chicks on Sunday, only one left

Mum doing little foraging in this rain even though I've put out mealworms.

No sign of dad since the flood last night.

Where's the hot summer we were promised?

Monsoons yesterday, and rain this morning, but some sun and breezy now. Still not very warm though.

It was a bit dull at first and then the sun came out for a while. Now it looks like rain at any time. It's very windy and so the clouds are blowing over rather quickly - and it is still quite warm - been hoovering so far and I have had to stop to cool down. Of course, yelling and chasing after pesky pigeons doesn't help - that and the fuming temper after it battered everything in the greenhouse in an effort to escape. Had to grab it in the end, gave it a good talking to and released it. It'll be back to wind me up again. No doubt the steam produced from my ears will probably go into the atmosphere and rain over someone. Sorry!

we had loads of rain yesterday, and today it can't make it's mind up the sun will be shining and it will be raining at the same time. most of the showers have only lasted a minute or two but still enough to wet you if you are outside
