A very very big thank you......

Thanks especially to Kate who was a fantastic help when I first joined as I am sure some of you remember and I was doing anything and everything to get an eglu.

It is strange how in 3 years I have gone from collecting pennies to being able to afford a new eglu every month.. If I wanted to. Won't last though!

Thanks again!

I'd forgotten that, Martin!! Wow, doesn't time fly :D . Wish I could afford an Eglu a month  !!

Thanks ever so much everyone :D . It's been a pleasure to help out and sort out problems but I'm looking forward to spending more time with my lovely old Singer sewing machine instead of fighting fires on the forum  . I've even bought some material and a pattern today to get back into dressmaking. Wish me luck :anxious: .

Kate xx

Oh, sorry I've not been around to see this until now. To be honest it feels a bit strange, I decided to resign as a moderator way back before Christmas simply because my new life over here has gone bananas, and I simply didn't have the time, nor the inclination to keep checking in with Omlet and trying to contribute meaningfully to moderator decisions anymore. And I always felt that there was no point in being on a list of mods when my continual prolonged absences meant that I was of no useful support to the team.

So, for me, finally, relief that I can log on happily and not worry about having to moderate or get involved in sometimes convoluted discussions....no more worries about how to protect the family friendly forum feeling without upsetting someone who thought that their comments were perfectly fine and we were being heavy-handed :wall:

So thanks to the "old" moderating team for your friendship and support, and congratulations to the "newbies"...I'm sure the forum will run smoothly under your guidance.

Life for me is amazing, I have been so privileged to have the opportunity to emigrate, it has opened up so many new avenues for me and these days I'm about to start working full time again, plus I'm enrolled on a year long course of study about NZ history and all aspects of Maori culture. I have 2 ewes (1 of whom is hopefully pregnant), 1 goat, 1 dog, and the first chooks are arriving at the end of the week. Oh, and I have some brilliant new friends. So, massive apologies for my gradual disappearance from the forum, I do sometimes feel incredibly guilty about neglecting old friendships here and letting them slip, especially when some of you were so amazingly supportive when I was struggling with the to emigrate or not decision

Thank you all for your friendship and for making the forum such a lovely, friendly place to visit. And, please, don't forget, it's not the mods who set the warm, friendly tone of the forum......it's all of the regular chatterboxes who make the threads so lively, interesting, informative and funny :clap::clap:.

Id just like to add my thanks and best wishes to the retiring mods. Retiring - thats makes you sound old and fuddy duddy which is not the case at all. Ive never worked with such a fun loving bunch before. :D:D:D

I can also vouch that Kate washed the SuperPants before putting them in the cupboard but they are now missing :anxious: Maybe Christian has taken them and is making them into a thong!!!:wink::lol:
