Lewis
I've just been to buy some Garlic Granules from the feed store round the corner. 700g in a tub was £5, or 1000g in a bag was £3.95! Both the same brand and exactly the same product. Doesn't make sense that you buy less but in a tub for more £ I went to try and get some Garden Lime and he just gave me a funny look and said go to a garden centre. When I asked about flubenvet, "Is it for a horse", "No, chickens" "Chickens , No we don't" Anyway, I've been adding garlic to their water, chopped it up, and its floats. Matilda soon realised and pecked them all out of the water and spat them all out How much Garlic Granules should I use? (sounds strange, but how many sounds like I'm going to count them all out! ) Thanks
legend21
Hi I cant help but I am trying to find out how much garlic powder I add to the feed, I think it goes in the feed and not the water. The only info on the packet is for horses. I found Add a teaspoon to water or mix with feed to irradicate worms and other internal parasites. So thats what I've done with the water. Not sure about the layers pellets.
Plum
I add about 2-3 teaspoons to a grub of pellets. That is powder.
Falkor
Were the granuals the NAF ones? If so they are cheaper in the 1000g bag as they are the refill to the 1kg plastic tub I use granuals with mash (3tsp) and powder when they have pellets. I also tried the whole clove of garlic in their water but Gin would just fish it out and then eat the whole thing. You could smell her a mile off! Redwing
I use the powder I am not scientific about it, just a blob here and there, I would say a teaspoon per grub would be about what mine get...ish....

I've just used one of those cereal containers and it does the job The granules seem better in water because they swell up and sink instead of floating. I've tried a few in their layers pelletcs because apparently its American garlic and double the strength so you only need a bit.
