yep 3 days now, giblets feathers are growing back fine, no eggs from the 2 yet, dipper seems ok on her own in the cat box and has laid 2 eggs in 3 days so obviously not that bothered, not let them out yet to see each other, do you think i should or just leave them be?

I think as long as Dipper is fine and can stretch her legs (she is in the eglu run?) then leave her for a few more days. You could put her back in with the other two on Sunday so you can supervise. Do you have a water pistol? OR you could put her in the WIR but still seperated by one section of the eglu run butted up against the fence for a week and treat it like an introduction.

I would be inclined to put the bumper bit on her before putting her back in though. I am home Sunday if you want a hand.

the wellies were my margo from the good life moment!!! new chicks mean new wellies!!!

Chickens are being picked up in the morning.

I assume i just put them in the cube and leave them to it??

I have put aubiose in the nest box, do any of you line the poop trays??

As you are picking them up in the morning I would personally put them into the run. They may need some guidance/assistance getting to bed. You can pick them up and put them in or try shining a torch in the egg port and they should follw the light to bed.

I line the poop trays with aubiose as well as the nestbox....stops it sticking to the plastic and going hard so much less scrubbing required on wash day :D

What breeds are you getting?

I decided not to go for a covered walk in run as it would have been really expensive for the size that I wanted. I have fenced off about 5 metres squared (or is it 5 square metres - I never know the difference  ) and am going to keep the runs in there so that they can go under cover if their wee brains tell them that it is raining and they don't want to get wet!
