Laura & CTB
........and your chidren will go hungry because you cant possibly cook the dinner while the chickens are still up and about
Snowy
I WAS going to show my hubby these posts but I daren't now or the eglu will be off limits! But the craziness will be going on for a bit longer now as I can't order until end of November (excuse me while I rant - stupid, stupid pensions company lost our paperwork and now delayed payment 'til end of November, which also means I can't have my romantic break mid Nov for 15th anniversary - aaaargh!!) OK, feel better for that! Keep making me laugh & I'll survive 'til then.
buffie
I was awful, obsessed with anything that had a chicken in it, books and magazines (still am). Bought country smallholder magazine (I live in an end of terrace) I'd do it all again BBx
Martin B
and you will develop an eglu bum from sitting infront of the pc all the time
Looney
Hi Snowy, (*best bedside manner doctor-type voice*) It seems apparent that you have a severe dose of pre-chickenitis which will rapidly develop into full blown chickenitis . I'm afraid I have to tell you....(*clears throat and takes deep breath*)....there is no known cure. I can only suggest that you learn to adapt your life to allow for your chickenitis and please don't worry about those less "special" people who are ignorant to the condition and stare and look puzzled by your animated chicken discussions and outbursts..... Snowy
Thanks for the suggestion Lesley - hubby has finally cracked (won't repeat what he said but words to the effect of: why don't you just go ahead and order it then darling?), so I rang to check their delivery time and..... wait for it................... IT'S COMING ON THE 25TH NOVEMBER Now, what to do for the next 25 days?

Laura & CTB
Now, what to do for the next 25 days? You look longingly into the garden..........sigh every few minutes.......and have to have the patience of a saint!! I waited 3 months to get my chooks AFTER I got my eglu - the waiting is horrible - the rewards are fabulous

feemcg
Hi Snowy, you could always pay £8 for next day delivery - thats what I had to do as I had very bad pre-chickenitis! Or.....you could spend the next few weeks getting all the housework up to date because after you get them the chickenitis will be so bad you won't get a thing done! Lesley
That's something else you can do Snowy - look for lists of chicken names - there's sure to be something. I put 'dogs names' into Google and loads of lists came up

Snowy
Oh I thought it was like a tardis - the number of chooks some people seem to get in theirs is unbelieveable (or the number of chooks that get themselves in morelike)
