kevtheplumber
Yeah I gathered that as they are digging their way to Australia by the looks of it, they found a frog yesterday and were having a right old fight for it until giblet wolfed it down, let them out at 610am and they just wandered out, didnt make a noise all night Now my 1st question, Im looking at closing the door at night but go away some weekends and was wondering if I could just leave the door open for them to go in and out of as they please, or would it be better to get someone to pop round and let them in and out, only problem is at the minute they look like they dont wanna go in till 10pm,
Egluntyne
I leave the door open all the time. At this time of year they will be fine, so long as the run is well secured.
Raina
Congrats on your new girls I leave the Eglu door open all night (means we can have a lie in )
kevtheplumber
great might just leave it open then, see if they make any noise early on, just got home for lunch and there are three very nice looking eggs, just built a dustbath using stones as one was having a lovely time on her own in the corner, just have to see if they use it now. Do any of you put things in to play with ie balls etc?

BocBoc
Our girls are fine with the Eglu door open this time of year - we go to bed before them and get up after them so we let them wander in and out when ever they are ready. Same here with the bark chippings - we seem to be forever raking it up!! Congratulations on your new arrivals by the way
